Not really , the reason why it made her op before with this is because only a handful of characters could catch her, in mvc3 it wouldn’t of been op either what with all the tracking teleporting, the flying and air dashing etc. If there are characters in mvci have a higher mobility creep it will be harder for her to just simply run she has to come back down at some point

Typhoon is slow enough to come out that you can actually use it to approach Storm if you know where it’s coming from. Especially in a game without assists.
I think it will be lp hp lk hk tag gem. That will leave pad players with 2 macros. One button dash and DHC maybe.
If it is indeed a punch and kick layout, do you guys see a bigger array of specials, since they won’t have to be limited by only motions? I think my logic is a bit flawed though, since Dante had a lot of different specials from the same motion.

Idk, I’ve gotten used to the lmhs way of things pretty quickly. I’ve always thought there was little reason for the punch/kick layout when everything is chainable and footsies don’t really exist in Marvel. Whichever of your light/medium/heavy moves has the bigger hitbox will be the optimal option 100% of the time, which is not the case for 1v1 fighters where the shape and hit/block advantage of each normal matters much more. The gameplay footage we saw so far seems to indicate that the punch/kick layout has returned, but I feel like that will end up being a trap down the road.
Edit: the one thing I originally missed was anti-airs. The only way I see the punch/kick layout being useful is if there was an anti-air option for each normal strength tied to one of them. Otherwise, they serve the same purpose.

The art is by Gerardo Sandoval.
I also noticed that Storm is the only X-Men in the new art.
I think the only thing to take away from that is that Storm is there at all. May mean good things for X-Men in Infinite.
I don’t know about that, it’s still only Storm and they have Iron Man fighting Ryu instead of Wolverine.
