Yeah, I wasn’t saying that it won’t eventually be the case, but that it would be bad for Capcom to intentionally force synergy with certain stones. Otherwise they might as well just assign stones to characters, and then limit team comp to characters with the same stone (which would suck).
I’m intrigued by the stone system. Maybe it could function like V Trigger where characters get unique abilities or perks from each of them. Weaker characters could have their shortcomings made up for by certain gems.
I like it. It potentially gives a lot of variety to the game.

I have no idea who I’d play from those picks. Venom/Hulk? Sigma/Morrigan? What the fuck are Ibuki and Rashid doing there? I don’t see many big guy characters for me or any of the waifus I want. And a Felyne over an actual monster from MH?

I think any SFV newcomer has a chance, just like Viper was on 3. But if they add Ryu, Chun, Akuma AND another one, fuck that shit. Unless Akuma is Cyber-Akuma and have a Magma Dragoon costume that shows up in the history.

I like your Marvel side of the roster very much.
I would just swap Nico for Moonstone, Manthing for Gamora, Antman for Bucky and Howard for Invisible Woman and it would be the closest to perfect Marvel roster for me.
That’s a big ass roster. I don’t see it possibly getting that big until year 3, and that’s if each dlc pack has about 12 characters each. Nevertheless, I like the Marvel picks a lot. I can’t see X-23 being left out this game now that she’s even more important than in MVC3, but I can live with the rest. Capcom side has a few questionable picks, but it has Pyron which makes me happy.
I don’t really know shit about BOF tbh. I think we’re going to get a decent amount of SF characters just because 2017 is the 30th anniversary of the series. Probably not 6, but fuck it I wanted all 5 games repped plus Bison & obligatory Chun.
She’s a much more unique character than Spider-Gwen. If they got creative, she could have a very different moveset from Deadpool opposed to Spider-Gwen who would have to be a Spidey clone.
So Niitsuma has been tweeting about Capcom characters that nearly made Ultimate. Gill was considered, but lost out to Nemesis in the very end.

63 days since last reveal or news, I’m pretty shocked.
I’m still excited for the game but with the lack of info the hype has definitely calmed down. On top of that Injustice2 is revealing stuff and Tekken 7 has its release date.
SFV has also been pretty silent, I know there is spose to be something on the 15th regarding SFV.
Anyways the lack of MVCI news concerns me a tad because they said it will launch 2017, I think many people are skeptical about that.
I mean if you take it literally they could release MVCI on December 31st 2017 but thats unreasonable, I think anyone using common sense would assume a 2017 release to be somewhere between October and Christmas.
Eight months 'til October, that is not a lot of time maybe they intend on doing weekly reveals closer to launch sorta like Injustice 2 has recently instead of one per month.
they better announce a delayed release at this rate
I think it will come out in January 2018 similar to how Resident Evil 7 came out in January this year.
