Nova Strike is no comparison to Giga Crush. One’s a Psycho Crusher rip-off that lasts a quarter of a second, and the other’s a city-wiping atomic burst.
Base roster is cool, but its grimey they are going to lock fan favorites behind DLC (along with Sigma). I already have 7 characters on the base roster, 4 of them being legit favorites,
to last me forever as long as the gameplay is there.
They could’ve done something unique and ambitious with him. Why not have him gradually give himself permanent upgrades over the course of the match like Frank West does?
But using someone else’s mechanic isn’t unique or ambitious :^(

Replace Jin with Devilotte
Replace Regina with Rajang (Monster Hunter),
Replace Kyosuke with Vile (Megaman X)
And replace Hayato with Valgas (Power Stone).
The nova strike had invincibility and did mad damage. It truly was the ultimate move.
Funny that you brought up the giga crush, because the X2 armor would have been cool to have in instead of the first one as well. Pretty much any of his armors from X2-X5 would have been a better fit, to be honest.
Funniest thing is I’m most skeptical because Nemesis is in AGAIN on this list. Shit while I’m glad to see Nemesis in a vs game (although he sucked) for him to get in twice? We shall see grasshoppa.
Some rep just need to be villains, MVC1 was my favorite designs for new characters in versus series but not being bias it is unbalanced in it’s choices of characters.
Some games doesn’t need the main characters because they have redundant gameplay. Some games should be a villain rep.
To many shonen is meh for a fantasy crossover.

The saddest thing us capcom have so many badass characters and they choose to repeat yhe dross from mvc3. And I maintain mvc3 looks much better.

Marvel 3s art style is going to be pretty damn timeless. It’s flat out gorgeous and will stand the test of time… flame me all you want.

Anyone notice the base roster is 75% veterans, 25% newcomers, which is the exact same as Street Fighter V? Is this going to become a trend in Capcom fighting games?
Marvel 3 actually had more newcomers than veterans, which also pissed people off back then.

Seriously, this roster is abysmal as hell. Even my speculated roster is light years better than the dog turd that is MvCI’s roster.

And, yes, even Soul Calibur V had a better roster than this game and that’s really saying a lot. 
I wish it were like SFV’s launch roster. We had not seen Nash, Mika, Karin, and Birdie in many years. They may be vets but they felt “new”.
It would be like if this base roster had Thanos, Captain Commando, Ruby Heart, and Sonson/Amingo/Jin as the returning vets or something instead of the crap vets we are getting at launch.
We really need a previously absent MvC2 vet as the mystery Capcom character to match Thanos.
