MvC Infinite CHARACTER Speculation/Request Thread

If Shoma was in this game I could see a very cool baseball mechanic working with him. Not a generic powerup from homeruns but actual baseball mechanics. Venom esque pool/baseball mechanics where he tosses a ball in the air and hits it with his bat. Catches that same baseball with another move. Different baseball throws like corkscrew and whatever else is a baseball throw.

Like Junpei in P4AU?

Sort of. If Junpei could also catch projectiles in his glove then it would probably be even more close. I am thinking about having the clean hit mechanic too, but maybe that should just be reserved for hitting baseballs/projectiles?

Shoma is one of the most popular characters from rival schools, but I am not sure if he is ever going to be in.

Shoma could if he’s a big enough fan favorite. Kyosuke made it in over Batsu for CvS2. Batsu isn’t always set in stone.

I would gladly trade off Hyo in my wishlist for Shoma!!

Arthur and Astaroth would be good reps for GnG. Astaroth could replace Firebrand in the roster.

Still, Hugo for Capcom big guy though.

If Leon gets in, I think he could have a gun-fu style to differentiate himself from Chris. I can’t really think of any fighting game characters that use Gun-fu.

I wonder what gonna be with Devil May Cry… just please not the Ninja theory stuff.

I hope to see more summoner other than Ultron, a team character better than Captain Command and two-in-one character rather new magic satchel users.

I hope they use DMC1 or DMC4 Dante. If there’s going to be a DMC5, which most believe might be revealed at E3, it’d be hype to see that design in Infinite.

After that, Nero, Vergil, Lady, or Trish will be the other rep(s).

Don’t hold your breath, and don’t trust anything coming from Capcpom that isn’t Resident Evil or Monster Hunter.

I think going by Riku’s leak, he talked about only 1 Ghouls and Ghosts Rep not 2. He wasn’t told exactly who was it. Could be Arthur, could be Firebrand but probably not both. Could even be Azeroth that gaint guy in GnG stage in UMVC3.

But didn’t Riku say that both Arthur and Firebrand are in the game?

Out of the Devil May Cry reps, we’ll pretty much be see Dante and Vergil in the game instead. =/

Only this time, the producer actually revealed he’s working on something big that will be announced this yr. The main games he’s known for working on are Rival Schools, Capcom Vs SNK 2, Star Gladiator, Devil May Cry, and Dragon’s Dogma.

Unlike the previous E3’s, there’s at least some merit to the rumor. Capcom has a huge unknown game they’ve yet to reveal.

It isn’t Remake 2 (already announced and in development), nor is it Street Fighter. The only other game it could realistically be is a Monster Hunter game or Devil May Cry 5.

At this point, Mike Haggar is most likely getting in as the grappler for the Capcom side unlike Hugo, who has absolutely no chance. =)

Mega Man isn’t big enough to be a major title for Capcom. The Resident Evil 2 remake is the best bet. If not then DMC5, a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma or even Deep Down.

We, honestly, will getting at least one more Mega Man rep in the roster and that character is most definitely going to be Zero.
