Excuse us for assuming you were equating the “all-new DLC characters” with the “5 all-new characters” and the fact that they’re previously unplayable characters made playable (which makes them “new characters” since they haven’t been selectable in the character select screen of previous games.
And no, your example of Sigma doesn’t work either since, popularity aside, he is “all-new” since he hasn’t been playable before in a Marvel vs. Capcom game.

I liked him in Capcom Fighting Jam and I’ve always liked his design. It was hilarious how good he was in that game where it was basically like you almost had to play him. If he gets in Marvel I know they will make him the cheap demon grim reaper guy thing he needs to be. I just wanna do that swooping air dash with the sycthe spin projectile in MAHVEL
Ah, you’re remembering his “Edgy Magneto” days. He (and ANAKARIS) were really damn good in that game due to how the systems worked. Darkstalkers characters were almost straight ports from VSav, so their mobility was off the charts compared to the Street Fighter and Red Earth characters. Felicia and Demitri were just fast but still grounded, while Anakaris and Jedah basically had tridash pressure plus the hitboxes to zone some characters out.
One thing I’d warn you about Jedah, as I forget if they carried this weakness over to CFJ from VSav, was that he couldn’t score knockdowns for shit. Which was a really big problem in a game where everyone can chain into a sweep. Anakaris had a similar spike in tiers from VSav to CFJ because his relative mobility was much stronger (he’s slow by DS standards) and they gave him a not-ass guard cancel. I can visualize a character with no normal throw being balanced (Anak managed to be the king of mid tier in MvC2, but lost badly to the 4 gods and high tiers), but few knockdowns? That’s some UMvC3 Iron Fist type handicap man.

Can you tell us more about these leaks? Do they have anything going for them to suggest credibility? Forgive me if this is a dumb question; I’ve been so busy between work and college that there were some weeks (or months, really) where I had virtually zero free time, so I’m behind on all the hot news.
Yes, they’re all from credible leakers such as Ryce, Rikurikumore, and SaikyoBro since they have the same characters in some shape or form and they all match up. However, both Haggar, Vergil, Zero, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage have yet to be leaked by any of the leakers.

I don’t know that Rikurikumore is a reliable source on the level of Ryce or SaikyoBro.

Actually, all three leakers have the same characters on their list in some shape or form. So, apparently, Rikurikumore gets his info from other reliable sources that Ryce and/or SaikyoBro don’t have yet.
