Since we had box art mega man in sfxt, we should get box art ryu in mvci.
After thinking about it, Oro, would be a perfect vs character. If they marveled up the moves he already has?
Granted this is me thinking about the old system. They say there is going to be a lot of characters. Hopefully
he isn’t passed up. There’s a few 3S characters that would make a good look actually but I understand SF saturation
is not a good look.
So who do you guys believe will ACTUALLY be in the game?
I think:
Marvel: Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Spiderman, Black Panther, Ironfist, Dr Strange, Venom, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Star Lord
Capcom: Captain Commando, Chun Li, Strider
Good pairing, but i think i like the sound of Akuma/Hulk. Asura/Thor just makes a bit more sense being based off mythical beings.
Gene and Asura is more likely in because of votes! So probably Gene would be Thor’s rival because of alike origins link into magical objects? Hulk is the way to go Asura because of temper issues related or going to be match Thanos!
What are the odds we’ll get to see Ammy again? I’d like her to be in, but unfortunately she just doesn’t seem all that popular 
I disagree, mostly because Inafune created the Zero series as something he wanted to do with the initial X games, Zero was supposte to be Mega Man X but Capcom didn’t want to launch the game without Mega Man (or that blue design) not being the main character. Inafune said that the Mega Man Zero series basically was a second chance at doing the series the way he wanted. Regardless, if Zero didn’t get in because of being replaced by Bass (or Bass.exe) or Protoman then I’d be completely okay with it. I’m not for Roll or Tron just because they are female, as another poster suggested. In any event, I’d like X and Zero together, similar to project x zone. I remember the hype that game got just because of the news of X and Zero being in a game together again after all these years.
I want Zero because there’s no way that moveset can be anything but top tier.
I would be fine with Ammy, I liked that Marvel 3 had some non humanoid characters to it break up from the rest (Ammy, MODOK, Shuma-Gorath)
4 of the revealed characters were pretty much guaranteed to get in MVCI
Hulk is also a solid lock. Capcom’s side is hard to predict since it kep changing from game to game
Other hint of possible characters in Capcom side would be from Capcom re-releases, collectors edition, remastered and ports of their previous games.
Remember when Final Fight have been remastered and they bring Haggar in the MVC3. They are good in using hype to promote their games.
I think the only other definite Capcom lock at this point is some version of Dante.
There will be someone from Resident Evil, too, but which one is kind of up in the air right now because of RE7.
Chun-Li is probably like 90%.
On the Marvel side, Hulk and Spider-Man are in for sure.
I’d say Wolverine and Magneto as well, but that depends on how Marvel is handling the Fox licensing.
Correct me if i’m wrong, but wasn’t a hint of Commando and Strider dropped by Lupinko? And some dude here said the Mokoto Kikaku logo was shown in the credits of the reveal.
Knowing there Capcom promotion of other games will give you insights of what posible Capcom roster to in remember that Giant Robot in Lost Planet character that made into TVC.
Marvel side more likely is based from movies, cartoons and at least an obsecure character.

Strider is likely to be added not because of re-release of his games but the popularity and attachment of gamers to his character in the MVC and MVC2, that the same reason why he is added in UMVC3 according to some old article interview.

Decided I would make a wishlist, this is just my initial roster wish list. Really hoping the roster tops 56, over time… However that is probably a pipe dream. Also, I’m imagining that balancing that number of characters might be a nightmare. However recycling UMVC3 characters could help with making that happen? Not sure how many years the game will last, hopefully as long SFV, as long as they are both successful.
One thing I think about in retrospect is the lack of small characters, outside of joe. I didn’t take into account the four character types they tried basing characters around during UMVC3 development. (Speed, Power, Standard, Technical)
With DLC, Capcom side, hoping for Asura, Phoenix Wright, Amaterasu, Jedah, Wesker, Akuma, Rival Schools and Powerstone Reps.
While there is some merit to this, as in I somewhat agree, I do think more characters from this franchise having an original moveset would be possible.
Like, obviously there would have to have some similarities, most characters from this franchise would still have an “Objection” and “Hold it” moves. Some characters might as well just be alternate costumes for Phoenix at this point (cough, Apollo, Edgeworth) since they don’t really do anything too interesting, but I do think there are some characters with good potential to be different.
I personally think a good character to include would be Franziska Von Karma. She’s famous for using a whip in court. She’s a character I can actually imagine throwing out some basic fighting moves (like basic punches an kicks) in addition to having whip moves and “Objection”. Plus, she was already planned for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom along with Phoenix Wright before being cut due to technical issues.
If they want to pick someone more recent, I’d say they should go with Athena, although it’s a little harder to imagine a completely unique move set for her, compared to Wright’s.
I don’t really expect multiple Ace Attorney characters right out the gate, but with the power of DLC I think it’s entirely possible.
