Easy solution: don’t make rooms, duh. That’s where scrubs gather. Hit arcade mode with challenges allowed. Scrubs hit up rooms cuz it’s easy to find someone to play with/play with high school friends. Unless you have a problem with playing against people you don’t know, like a lot of people (for some weird reason)?
Day 1 netcode was ok for me. Now its just plain bad. It sucks not having a local scene, because I really like this game. The LIES about spectator mode really make me feel like I shouldn’t take anything a capcom rep says as true anymore.
At least I’m gonna get BBCS. That game supposedly has decent netcode, anyone here have experience with it?
3rd best netcode in fighters. It’s right behind AH3 and it’s predecessor BBCT.

GGPO should be #1 on everybody’s list. Even your all mighty ah3\bbct use the GGPO technology but not quite as good as GGPO so I don’t see how you can place those games above GGPO.
and day 1 net code was never fine for anyone. Chances are you were new to the game like all of us and couldn’t really do shit. Not that we’ve had a month to practice the game, doing what we’ve learned online is becoming impossible. Day 1 stuff online consisted mostly of raw basics which were even still pretty hard to do but definitely much easier than any thing of an intermediate level.
also using stuff like post patch is laggier is kinda awful. They didn’t release anything to tweak the net code so it never got changed. The net code you see now is the same as day 1…

Yeah, I’ve had that happen on Xbox 360, too. The online system in this game just doesn’t work sometimes.

Yeah it doesn’t work for me either. However I’ve been getting more games by searching. It’s funny, in SF4 I couldn’t go two seconds with fight request on without getting a fight.

hi, i have a question, i can do certain combos in trianing mode and in regular arcade mode but online they never work, is it because the internet lag, no matter how small, makes it impossible to do these combos?
specifically, i am talking about any of magneto’s launch into attack, into flight mode, into attack combos (anything after flight mode doesn’t combo)
and wolverines relaunch combo. I can do a regular launch into attacks, xx drill claw xx super but if i do the relaunch one i can get the drill claw to combo
^It’s probably 60% lag and 40% pressure getting to you. Can you do those combos you’re dropping online when you play people locally? If yes, then it’s the lag. If no, then you don’t actually “know” the combos well enough yet and need to spend some more time working on them.
360/PS3 fighters. Most people don’t play fighters on PC. Though yes, GGPO is best.

Are people who play these games online who live in other countries all retarded? Is there something in the drinking water? It’s not like I have a high opinion of USA intellect, but this is ridiculous. If you’re in another country, especially a far away arab or european one, WHY THE #(#*@(#) are you joining my room and trying to play? Seriously what is your major malfunction that you don’t understand the simple concept that the game IS NOT PLAYABLE between that distance? How hard is that to understand? It’s difficult enough to get decent matches with people from here, least of all from Malaysia, and yet EVERY room I create or any room I join will have these dumbasses trying to play, wrecking the entire experience.
Even worse if you consider they play like this all the time.
It’s not a matter of it being people from other countries, because I, in portugal, europe, get a fuckload of American’s joining my sessions too.
It’s casuals man, they don’ give a fuck if it’s laggy, they just want to press buttons.
