Usb MPD24 with FL Studio and some Vst’s (Especially SampleTank) Is the same thing if not better. I had a MPC 2000, 1000, and worked on all of them its really just a presentation thing. The Maschine is also good you should check it out.

I’ve been producing since about 12… it doesn’t necessarily show in my work but that is becuase I haven’t owned the stuff I’ve worked on for so long. Anyways here is a beat I did…ignore the title. IT is still a work in progress.

Dude you run into the same problem I do. Everything on this sounds A-MA-ZING, but the drums. Percussions is the hardest thing for me to get right. Overall, I’m jealous. If your music makes me jealous that means I really appreciate it.
Im flattered man. I didn’t expect that type of response from my first track, which really means alot. Im even more inspired now to at least keep it up. And I couln’t agree more with the drums issue, its definitly the hardest thing for me to get down perfect. Recently I’ve started layering my drums and adjusting the different volumes which is basically a process of elimination.

hey, i’m making the shift from hardware to software. seems like there’s lots more versatility. now, i’ve read that I should get an external sound card for producing. is that true? and what kind?
it depends what your workflow is like. u might just need a midi interface, or u might need something with a preamp/di in it. monitoring also becomes an issue for some. like i said, it all depends how u work.
