You should had for the Combos on Two stocks: C Hp xx Spiral FADC C Hp xx Spiral , C Hp xx Spiral FADC C Hp xx HP Reflect, ST (which is the most damaging combo with 2 meters and near corner)

I’m not going to do anything about match-ups since I don’t play enough players who know their characters well enough to punish any mistakes a Rose can make. That would be bad advise overall. What would be a lot better is match-up videos taken from real tournaments, or at least from well-known online heroes. So I’ll look to that, as the final bit of the guide. I don’t watch a lot of vids though, can’t do it at work :wink: If anyone has a few vids that he thinks are representing a match-up very well, it would be awesome.

The most damage combos should be there if you include Luffy’s comment. Most stun is something Pasqual was looking into, don’t know the numbers. Is this really considered that much in matches? Seems very hard to count stun well enough to let +50 stun in a combo make the difference of choice. Same goes with counter-hot combos, they are very nice to see, and I believe some actually use that. But maybe a bit too high level to be useful as a reference written by a mid-level (albeit enthousiastic) player.

Acku I can say honestly that this is a good introductory document to those who want to play Rose. I did learn a couple techniques in fact. Just not sure if I’ll start using them.

I don’t think counting stun is an essential to playing as Rose, since half the cast has an uppercut to deal with her most idyllic pressure game. If anything, maybe you could mention some attack sequences that would stun a player during their confusion, or wanting to fight back (how some have dubbed it “mind fucked”) without them being too close to getting KO’d. Like maybe you land a good combo on them, then on their wake, cross them up (ambiguously) for another combo, or bait out a reversal then punish them for it, then try to zone them out with the heavier normals, or keep applying pressure when their first reversal didn’t work.

A lot of sequences can be interchangeable. Like on Rufus, you could start with heavy pokes, get a spiral knockdown, then cross-up, and keep the pressure on if he doesn’t have meter. + throws.

Counter-hit combos I personally try to use. If I use an attack that could start a counter-hit, regardless of if it counter hits or not, I usually do the next attack that would link with it, which is most often c.MP. Though this is more personal strategy related and not definite good practice for others, it still maintains pressure.

I’m sure there’s a lot more you want to add, but what’s great about Rose, and this game in general, is the creative freedom you’re allowed when you’re not stuck in blockstun. :cool:
