Giving my side of it clearly doesn?t change much these days, but in any case, after discussing it with some people who?s opinions I respect, I decided that what?s the point in putting myself in this lose-lose situation? Why agree to something that clearly makes me look worse whether I win or lose? Sure there?s $100, but who?s going to respect me winning a match like that? All that would happen would be people hating on me even more(if that’s even possible these days), talking even more shit. ?Good job scrub.? Fuck that noise. Everyone was thinking it, whether or not they said it. I?m trying to be a respectable player, and this sure as shit doesn?t help that at all, and you know it. It deflates the excitement but it?s the truth.
If someone challenges me for money, it?s for a real MM, not this clown shoes bullshit.
Don’t put words in our mouths or thoughts in our heads. And don’t confuse your own opinion with the truth. It’s not a question of whether or not you should agree to the terms. YOU HAD ALREADY AGREED to them earlier this week. If you had wanted a real MM instead of “clown shoes bs”, you would have challenged forever heero to a MM against his Akuma. And don’t put us all in one boat in terms of hating. The very people who were hating would have been the people you were going to take money from.
Backing out from this MM after having accepted is worse than losing it. Now that’s the truth.
Respect your opinion, but I’m not lumping everyone together, I’m referring to people that have issues with me. As for whether or not I’m willing to MM, of course, I will play a real MM against anyone. It just seems like in this case I was invited into a trap that would make things worse if I’m trying to be respectable.
Just do a main vs main MM this saturday… why not settle it once and for all?
