Emily Rose was not too good… but it’s alot better when you have a girl with you to fool around with and hold you when she gets scared. Actually I was the one holding her cause I get scared shitless in horror movies. Oh well, better than holding jackson.
Speaking of which, Jackson is the real Emily Rose. I think the movie is based on him. I took him home Sunday morning and after 47 hours no sleep I swear he was possessed. He started hallucinating and wanted to fight me cause he thought I was Satan. What a crazy weekend.
Self high 5 for not going !
Anybody knows if 2000’s gonna have neogeo battle colliseum? I know it’s very unlikely, but hey, they have that crappy SVC game, so anything can happen, right?
They have SvC, brought back SF3:2nd impact, but no Alpha 3.
You know what’s crazy though… even though the A3 cabinet has no sound, I swear I can hear all the sounds in my head. Someone has to remind me that there’s no sound in the game otherwise I won’t notice. Seems like each normal/special/super in the game I see and the sound associated with it is burned deep in my brain cells so the sound and visual data are tied together and can’t be separated.
That’s what happens when you play a game for 4 years non-stop. It’s literally in my brain 100%.
I was once showing my non-sf friend some combos in A3.
He said “It’s funny, the people who make these games spend 6 months to make the game and then move on with their lives, while gamers will spend years and 4x the time and effort playing these games.”
And even worse, gamers develop the game where the focus is on only a small percentage of the actual game data. (MvC2 was never designed to be played the way it’s played now).
It’s useless in life to know nothing about everything, and it’s useless to know everything about nothing.
2000+ had SVC like… 6 months ago? Unless they got it again in the last week or so?
On the topic of what Tony’s friend said, this is the case with mostly every game that comes out. If it’s played enough people will discover new things and develop the strongest way to play the game. Watching a game when it first comes out, and then watching it being played 4 years later makes it very obvious.
It’s useless in CvS2 to fight against K-Sagat, but it’s useless to play against K-anything.
Meh, been too long since I ever went to 2000 (or any decent arcade, for that matter, joliette’s arcade sucks). I bet 2i doesn’t get much play. I mean, yeah it’s different from ts and there’s no chun, etc, but the competition is on ts. Nobody plays 2i anymore.
What they need is an gool ole ST cab. That would freaking rule (that ultracade won’t cut it).
On topic, well, eh, JD pretty much resumed it. CVS2 was an very different game before RC.
joliette arcade!?!?! is it close to joliette metro station???
no shit sherlock.
k-groove is broken, if it werent for a-groove, cvs2 would be totally unplayable.
2i is a fun game, i just hate the idea of down parrying in the air to get any advancing attacks to hit. whats the point of forawrd parrying? prob to escape uppercuts more easily. but anywho, crouch jab x 5 - super with hugo is too funny.
I talked to the owner of 2000 and neo geo battle colliseum should be at 2000 in about a month, just got to handle the shipping and handling issues. He also plans on bringing the new sam sho, but I dont see how he could bring that one.
blah
the new sam? what happen to him?
Samurai Showdown, fool
Hahahahahaha alex quel noob!!
w00t FF7:AC trop bon!
Err, I mean the town, not the metro station.
How’s K groove broken? Sorry, I’m not a pro at cvs2, but afaik, Parry>JD, no rolls. Meter is probably good, but it can’t be good enough to be considered broken, right? Unless you’re geese or any other counter type character, I see no real way to gain meter other than JDing, and well that’s pretty random.
NGBC in a month, eh? That’s too great.
Hahahahahahahhahahhahahahaha.
Ure right JDING is random, just ask any of hese guys here how random it can get.
Fuck that shit. Jding is WAYYYYYY less random than parrying. And getting possibly two super in one round is too good. Plus couple the fact that jding some relatively average speed pokes can result in them being slow, giving the just defender a possibility of re-attacking.
Also it deals more damage, and loses less when raged. And it gives me, albeit small, a bit of life.
and all the users has to do is anticipate low blocking at the last second. BLOCKING. so really, even if I fail to jd, its still all good. (unless im about to get guard crushed then its no good, but thats a reality all grooves face anyways.)
now lets examine p-groove.
It can get a super per round, depending on the users parrying skills, as that is the only means that can speed up the meter building.
Now that also implies that the user is going to need to “guess” or “set-up” parry a lot, which have a 50/50 advantage-disadvantage rate. meaning the dude can either succeed or die.
When certain RC`s come into play, p can have a big advantage compared to k. likewise, the opposite can apply. but they both get owned by a-groove.
now u explain to me why u think p is better than k.
euh… Parrying doesn’t build meter for shit, 10 JD > 100 parry to get a bar.
To build meter, P groove has to hit the person. Try filling it up by doing fp (for example) from far away, won’t cut it either since it you do that against A or C, then they get a super before you by doing the same shit.
And finally, K doesn’t really need to JD that much to get a meter. 5 jd + 5hits = rage mode = half of your life gone and it can have 2 supers per round. If the guy, miss his super on you and you retaliate with your super, guess what happens?? He gets another try to land his new super you gave him.
