well if we can chip for the money for 2 days we can do that as well…the probleme is we might not be able to have it for 2 days im not sure but i try…team tournament would be fun of course but it wont take for ever in a console games …like i said the more tv and console we have… better we can make this event faster running.

all i want to do its make the game faster …dont have to wait for hour n hour for a play…and wait for someone to finish their games before its your turn …instead of having 2 players playing cvs2 and let 30 players wait after them…why not having like 6 player playing cvs2 at the sametimes and let only 24 players waiting ?? then 6 more players and 18 waiting…then 6 more player make it 12 player waiting and so on dont u guys thing its way better and faster and so everyone its always in the action??
we can do it on 2 days tournament if i can chips money from people… i guess around 250 im not sure for a night for the renting place so it would make like 500$ for 2 night i still have to asked about it and reserve it …but its arround it for what i heard …

I haven’t seen Lars online in the last couple of days. I’m not sure if he finalized plans on renting a banquet hall/conference room for this event but we’ll have to assume he hasn’t. I’m more than happy to co-ordinate with MTLSF on this event but there’s a couple of things we really need to touch on.

I work every 2nd weekend and on top of that my February is completely shot because of plans and a long overdue vacation out of this country. As such, I need this event done on either March 17th or March 31st. I “might” be able to do the weekend of the 3rd but that’s unlikely.

Who’s providing the TV’s? I don’t worry much about consoles and sticks because everyone has those. As for TV’s though, I’ll tell you right now if people from out of town are coming they won’t be providing TV’s because of space limitations in their cars/vans. Are there at least 11 people willing to donate 1 television of half decent size within Montreal for this event?

as for the renting place for 2 days …i will get information price and what are allowed what not…but i am pretty sure its around 400-500$ and no alcohol are allowed inside the place either ( because we have no license to sell it ) every beer bottle found in place its about 500$$$ penality charge from the police!!! on your own risk!!

I don’t think they’ll let the MTLSF people use their TVs unless they have spare ones. And as for the space we have more than enough time to find a cheap and suitable place to hold MAT so that shouldn’t be a problem

How many TVs do we need? 6-12? it’s gonna be a hustle if we need to carry them around.
Oh and who’s gonna make sure nobody steels TVs, consoles, games, cameras before the second day of the tournament??? that could be a huge problem.

ok guys heres the situation about the SSBM community. Their definitely down to do a tournament with us guyz (actually the MLG might come down for this ). But the problem is their not sure about march. Chester is gonna contact me somewhere this week to confirm if they can do the tourney in march. But if they can it would definitely help. Because its gonna be way too expensive for our small community to do a console tourney if we do the tourney with them were gonna split the costs. And FYI we CAN do a Team/Singles in 1 day the SSBM community holds 3 tournaments in 1 day with a community 5 times larger then ours with a game that takes at least 3 times more time to run so I dont see where the problem lies. We just gotta start early we cant have a 2 day tourney its way too expensive!! What I suggest is (Teams at Mira since 3s is coming back) and singles on console. Anyways, since -JD- just posted things might get clearer cuz if were gonna do this console we have to start plannin NOW. Console tourneys take a lot of plannin and time to do.
Tvs: Yeah well I have 2 tvs I can bring (transportation?) Ill try and convince my mom <_<. So yeahs thats already 2 tvs u can count. Im sure Mao can bring Raph’s TV since its at Marc’s thats already 3 tvs. But the rest of you guyz have to cooperate or elese forget it. (Also count my Dreamcast+ Ps2 + My stick (for dc)Plus my games (I have all fighting games for DC and PS2))
Nagata: Forget Tekken 5, ST is very popular among the mtlsf community now and our Tekken 5 community is like dead I look at their forums theres like 1 post every 3 months. Plus Tekken is boring and everyone in MTL plays DR I dont see the point in having Tekken 5 over ST that the majority of us will play. Everyone freaking plays ST especially now that theres an arcade perfect verison of the game
why the fuck would anyone even consider dropping ST for t5?

Dude we dont give a shit about smash( the game) thats not the point, plus ,most console tournaments nowadays have smash in them. The thing is they have experience in console tournaments,we dont. They happen to all be friends of mine who will gladly help us. Also we are a very small community and I frankly dont think ppl are willing to pay a lot of $ to rent a room if we do a tournament with the smash community we are going to split the costs of the room which is going to help a LOT. Seriously, most of us are fucking broke I dont see how anyone is going to give more then 10$ to pay the room.
