Rock made 1 post the whole season 2 in here, why ya’ll getting trolled [details=Spoiler]with his want to be an online weirdo spoiler-getting off on that in public in front of ya’ll online dudes, gross, this time since he didn’t have nothing on the show, he had to go outside the show to something they tell you in the commercials now anyway.[/details] He ain’t make no fucc da world posters.
That answers an old question in here that ‘is Tyrell just a figment of Elliot’s imagination?’ (Elliot was still believing that) but not why Mr Robot told him he’s dead (I shot him + don’t worry about it?) and big memory loss by Elliot. Still against innocents dying in these major building exploitative hacks.
I had to look up a site with a script (weak, unofficial though, over there writing down the recaps the show starts with the scene jumping around and lots missing anyway) on that rundown on Xun and tapping White Rose superhackphone. To see that Dark Army was interested in the femtocell too. So Dom found it, after alluding to knowing and seeing Angela drop in on that floor, and going to find out why.
So when did they tap their IRC channel with “Sam Sepiol”
Less interesting is how Angela knows Tyrell.
Might need to watch again to see how much they had up for Tyrell Wellick on the whiteboard.
Anything on him after the 5/9 hack.
Season 2?
Spoiler
Too much Joanna
Too little on what White Rose’s dream is.
Thought it was gonna be a bitcoin/e-coin hack and wealth redistribution, not building implosion Fight Club again
And Rami Malek playing like 3-4 characters an episode now.
Rich people award shows? Industry pats themselves on the back one not even the saggy’s? That’s not what you should base your Tv watching on. Damn what’s next, what show has the best commercials?
Batman Arkham Asylum wikipedia page, writer has 5 emmys. Anybody know that going in or does that change anything besides the story is gonna be Joker messes with Batman. BATMAN NEVER KILLS ANYBODY.
Triple post word score, since I had more media I looked up before
& what else is gonna be posted between now and then, nothin
and when are we going to be back here to talk about Season 3.
[details=Spoiler]If there’s anything I dislike about the series is how Elliot’s dissociative identity disorder undermines the values he’s fighting for.
I was absolutely fine with the social anxiety he suffered from in season 1, but the ending of season 1 just felt like a Fight Club rip-off and we’re left with a revolutionary that’s just plain mental, instead of a sensible person with conviction fighting for common sense in a world gone mad.[/details]
Lots of people said they found season 2 boring, while I myself was at the edge of my seat for most of the season. Really high suspense, great new characters (Ray and the FBI agent are great).
I am pretty disappointed with the cliffhanger conclusion though, because when I look back at what happened in the whole season, it was a whole lot of nothing in terms of main storyline, leaving me pretty unsatisfied with the season as a whole.
Compare that to season 1, which could have ended the whole series with the last episode because it was pretty much wrapped up, and left me both satisfied with what I have seen and curious about what is coming up, or if something is even coming up at all.
Hope the next season focuses more on the story, with Elliot being our guide through it, than on Elliot with the story taking a backseat.
The whole Elliot in the hood story was great though.
I still think the show didn’t need to continue past season 1, but I’m a bored motherfucker and despite its shortcomings, it’s still pretty much the best show to watch at the moment next to Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Giving Mr Robot different qualities, in a physical sense
Apparently you already kinda saw he was bulletproof or at least plenty able bodied around using guns to make his goals
Spoiler
Now with Elliot doing a Kazuma Kiryu—double super spoiler unless you finished Y5
And living thru a bullet wound, back up and running to an important goal, in just 6 days was it?
There was a Elliot trying to Dr Jekyl get rid of the other guy once before too with a gun to himself. Forgot about that.
Would be something more to explore openly. As that scene with Angela was more of it. She has her own goal to keep the plan alive despite Elliot’s second thoughts to fix his apparent mistakes here.
Bobby Cannavale! Third Watch fun actor, saw some of the preview interviews, Esmail and Rami both like him a lot to what he added this season. Adding some missing elements in comedic stances around all the existential dread is cool.
Starts as an ally already, but shown his allegiances to Dark Army. Nuts their police force can do those engine shutdowns amidst, total power outage. So even public services like the Police are gonna be hit with that, not exempt and probably not prepped for that kinda future. Even if power comes back by the end of the episode, for now, this was beforehand.
Damn didnt see that coming. Right before the twist I really thought Instrumentality was thwarted, It had me thinking the show pretty much ended. And that Back to the Future reference was pretty cool, but also that entire scene was great since it revealed why Angela really wants the plan to succeed. Up to this point I think the show is asking the audience if the ends justify the means. Come to think of it, they never really explained exactly what theyre trying to accomplish but I’m assuming its an alternate reality where everyone lives.
Anyone catch the finale?
Haven’t felt sad about a show ending in a long time. Such an amazing cast, expertly woven writing can’t think of a single bad episode in its 4 seasons.
I wasn’t sure if we had a thread for this anymore.
It’s an absolute travesty that Mr. Robot never had the attention that some of the other big TV shows did this last decade because it deserved it.
It’s likely due to Season 2 being slower than molasses but honestly it’s still fine on a binge.
But honestly the series was excellent in pretty much every respect. Acting, writing, even cinematography and with one episode in Season 4 that is arguably on the level of Ozymandias. Give Rami Malek and Sam Esmail all the awards, just all of them. And anyone who hasn’t watched it, it’s Christmas vacation time, find some time and get into it.
