Motivational Thread (I suck so bad)

Yes it’s weird, you fight people above your rank a lot.

Not shitting you, I am mid silver and silvers are close to be the ones I fight the least. Today I got a bunch of super silver, couple of golds, couple of super/ultra bronze, couple of silvers.

For my silver “promotion” I had 2 or 3 super silver in a row.

This game is disheartening though, feels and plays so different from sf4. Feel like i´m speeding through fights sometimes and super slow in the next.

Any tips from people who made the transition from sf4 to sf5?

Read up on frame data. There is a LOT of seemingly unsafe on block stuff that is actually safe.

Was feeling sorry for myself, plateauing at the bronze/silver line only beating guys that weren’t that great. Had a great morning on Saturday then got crushed at my first competition lol

The only way you’re going to get better is to learn from your mistakes. Losing makes you a better player, gradually. Look back at your mistakes that costed you the match. Study and read your opponent. You need a lot of patience and practice. Focus your game. Players get frustrated and angry at times. It happens, but don’t let it cloud over your focus on winning and learning or you will get nowhere. In SFV, you’re going to lose a lot. It will make you a better player as you keep playing and gaining experience as a player. Training mode also helps a lot. Hone your reaction and execution skills.
