Mother of seal: 'i believe that obama murdered my son'

Post '09 politics just isn’t that funny. :frowning: Or generally, politics being funny anymore.

This thread is hilarious. Sad, and hilarious. Idon’twanttoliveonthisplanetanymore.jpg

Don’t know how much I’d trust that. First of all it’s a poll by MSN(BC) which is the liberal version of Fox. Secondly while other countries tend to be better at paying attention to global issues, how much do some of these places really know about American politics?

What do they need to know? Some of these countries don’t even have a mainstream party as far right as your Republicans. If anything, misinformation could have increased the numbers for Mitt in some of those…

Edit: And let’s not forget a small part of that red % has to be racism too. That’s a real thing.

Probably more than Fox News viewers

Probably not much less than the average American knows.

And I will remind anyone here of one of the things they probably needed to know on one of their civics tests in high school: one of the president’s duties is to be the ideal American when traveling abroad. That means that the president has to represent us favorably as citizens in the eyes of other countries.

Very little.

By that reasoning, so does the blue. Obama looks more like someone from Latin America or the Middle East or Africa than Mitt Romney does.

How very fortunate you are.

(assuming you’re able to see this)

How does that work out when Obamas wife spends $6800 on a dress just so she can show up Kate Middleton at the London Olympics since she felt that she was snubed by not being invited to Kates wedding?

lol was this a topic on the real housewives of orange county?

itt someone smelled the potential money in making her highly charged political statement, perhaps wants that joe the plumber treatment.

the media tells a tale, and tries their hardest to make it a reality, of a close election because people tune in more. how many people would have tuned the election out a long time ago had the corporate media said “national popularity is pretty close but when we look at the electoral college romneys chances are looking slim to none” not a very compelling narrative to keep people engaged and the ad revenue flowing. hell, great example was cnn’s coverage of the presidential debates, romney wins the first debate and they are jumping all over themselves to call that one. next 2 debates even cnn’s own polling says obama one and they trip over themselves to talk about how debate 2 doesn’t matter as much, debate 3 doesn’t matter as much, republicans claim they won cause of blah de blah… and then the final cherry on the top was to explain: well, romney won big in debate one, it was like he scored 4 points and obama only won the next 2 debates by a point each so really the score is 4 to 2 romney. god corporate media is a joke.

does denial really make it better for you to handle? study after study has shown that among the corporate media networks the least informed viewers are fox news viewers, the most informed viewers are MSNBC’s (not that either are really good mind you). I know, reality has a well known liberal bias, but if you prefer you could take your pre-election predictions from dick morris, hell according to him romney might just take NY.

just for fun why don’t we check in with former republican congressman Joe Scarborough and his take on the polling numbers “anyone who calls this race as anything but a toss-up is a ideologue and should be kept away from computers, typewriters etc. because they are a joke” oh really? is that what we are calling people who look at numbers and facts and provide statistical probabilities of outcomes? well for a republican and their disdain for facts that makes perfect sense now doesn’t it. on average? a shitload more than your average american citizen.

That’s true, but that point would have far more weight with me if such polls existed for other incumbent presidents vs. their opponents at this time in the game. Part of the reason why Obama may be so well liked is because so many other countries are saying “finally” as they are aware of the race situation in the US. Now it’s true that this within itself still has merit because Obama’s skin color/heritage improving out international image is still an improvement, but it’s impossible to know how much of those polls are saying “we don’t want Romney” vs. “We like Obama/and his policies” vs. “Not another white guy” or other things.

I know no one liked Bush, but it’d have been interesting to see some polls for other presidents (which I’m sure don’t exist)

How much of a bitch are you to even bring up or care about such a shitty irrelevant topic?

Tell me, who’s your favorite host of The View?
Do you prefer Inside Edition, or TMZ?
Does Cosmo help you to please your man in 20 easy steps?
Why do you all love chocolate so much when you’re on your period?
and most importantly do you prefer the pad or a tampon?

Heres the only thing I’m add to this…whatever this is
Anybody quoting poll numbers and saying they are nonsense should be held to that shit on Wednesday if Obama or Romney win by the predicted amount. I don’t think people on the news or on SRK or anywhere should get to back out with that “hey sometimes people get it wrong” excuse when their team gets proven wrong, especially when its not just that their team got it wrong, it’s that the other side got it right, and they called it a lie.

She wore something super fancy when she went to Buckingham Palace to hang out with the Queen of fucking England. How terrible.

Also, I would doubt she paid for the thing anyway, so it’s irrelevant. It’s like when actors/actresses wear fancy things to the Oscars; they either get it for free/cheap for the sake of publicity, or they just wear it for an evening, anyway. And even if money is the issue, I doubt that any president wears suits that were picked up at a thrift store. I’m not even sure what the controversy is supposed to be, here.

The premise of this thread is such bullshit.

Having a bias to facts dictates we have a blind bias towards that D. LULZ

Our news report US matters. We watch your talkshows and all your other media too for that matter. And then there’s the internet…
We know a lot more about you than you do about us :cybot:

Dot dot dot me all you want, but a party with Republican “conservative values” would be extremist in some of these parts. Would probably be branded a nationalist party too.

This poll isn’t the first the voters ever sees of the candidates. Obama is widely known all over the world as “the first black president of the USA”… Romney is a white dude running for an extremely right wing party. Now what box is some racist asshole on MSN polls gonna check?
I don’t understand your last sentence.

Funny thing is Obama has literally done nothing more then continue on Bush’s policies, yet he is praised for it. He has essentially been Bush III and the same things Bush was hated for, Obama is loved for. It really makes no sense logically.

I will say this though, Obama is not nearly as popular as he was back in 08. Even on this site in 08 you would get flamed by everyone for badmouthing Obama(I should know I did, I just turned out to be right). Now as people have realized it was all just smoke and mirrors with a catch phrase, he is not even close to nearly as liked as he used to be. If anything the argument is he is the lesser of 2 evils(which is an absurd just dumbfoundling stupid fucking argument).

Btw Mitt Romney is an asshole to, I hope they both get ass raped by a mutated donkey.

I voted for Gary Johnson btw.

Yin: Romney actually is not that right wing, him and Obama are actually not nearly as far off on pretty much anything as people think they are. That was one of the reasons the Republican Party actually hates Romney, he is alot more centrist on issues then they want him to be.

They are both still douchebags though.

Hehe, well… From my perspective you guys hardly even have a left wing (mainstream) party :wgrin:
More like a way right wing party and a “let’s ease slowly left while carefully avoiding being thought of as socialist” party.

Left and right can be a bit relative, I guess. Here, our main left party (largest single party) will sometimes be considered just kinda left, while in the US they’d be considered borderline communists (if what people have to say about Obamas weaksauce left leanings is any indicator…)

So saying Romney isn’t all that right wing, it’s a bit funny to me

That is fair enough, that is why I do not live in those countries. They are way to left wing for me, of course I am a Libertarian if anything so people think I am insane anyway.
