you’re right but if you have time to wait why not do a fierce shoryuken? only reason i can see to wait for cHP to fully hit is canceling into demon flip for reset and keep the pressure.
and cHP may trade.
This. As annoying as Sakura’s one. Also a crossup denial.
c.hp for anti-xup/reset opportunity. late hp.srk for everything else… this is what I do, but I just picked him up from Rog. Akuma’s c.hp is nowhere near as good as Rog’s…
Because there are some moves that c.HP works better against like poorly timed cross ups and overhead antics like Vega while there are other moves that a SRK can work better on. Also if by some chance you whiff you are less likely to be punished with a c.HP than a SRK. The c.HP beats several moves cleanly that the SRK would whiff on.
I see the SRK trade just about as much as the c.HP so in the end it is just how you use it that matters.
Considering that is just about Rog’s only anti-air against closer jump ins, it should be good.
Rog can also use s.mp just as easy. But anyways, how about Akuma’s cl.hk? I’ve only done it on accident before, but hey…
yes cHP works better against those but a late fierce shoryuken has invincibility which beats every air move.
you can also use shoryuken for crossup’s by doing motion early and pushing punch after opponent passed over you ( i dont know what its called). but it only works on bad timed crossups and wont work online.
You can try to get the srk turned around, but if you screw up you are going to get punished and punished hard. c.HP will work regardless of direction.
Neither anti-air will work for all situations, that is why you try to use the strengths of each one to maximize your air defense. SRK provides better damage and horizontal movement at a higher risk, while the c.HP provides better vertical defense and the ability to cancel at the cost of less damage.
^ thank you sir. end of discussion
I also agree with down fierce
