Most broken FG character

Only noobs? I beg to differ. Only people i played who didnt get reemed were… TBH, cant think of anyone. dvdcsn and i went back and forth, no clear cut winner. We reemed each other with MGP. I never played DreamTR with Jax though he would prob still kill me bad with his experience. Everyone else fell to it eventually.

VA380 was prob the biggest crybaby about it. Xiongbros would always use the “you beat my 25th brother, you didnt beat me”. Last time i played Konqrr, he would wait to see who i would pick to counter and that didnt help. There are numerous heads who can vouch as well. I could go on, but thats not the point. The point is these people arent noobs by any means, they were very good.

Within the game, Kang, Mil and Jax were above everyone else. Were they broke? In the context about MKII, possibly. Genre wise? Nah. But MGP is huge for Jax.

I still stand with my statement of Ivan Ooze being the most broke FG char.

Sentinel :cybot:

3rd Strike with system direction changes, and infinite levels with 9 meters.

URIEN. AEGIS REFLECTOR. Nuff Said.

**

He’s not that good in Brawl + or -.

Superman in MK vs DC >.>
Ground pound infinite.

Fully intentional and justified.

If your answer is a tournament-legal character in a competitively popular title, you do not have the correct answer.

The Police (Arm Joe)

Ivan Ooze

and anyone that says Zato / Eddie from GG, you need to learn the matchup

Juggle states don’t mean a whole lot in Soul Calibur. A lot of characters can’t land their real damaging stuff against Yoda, and he can’t be thrown. He still has massive limitations, but they’re difficult to exploit if you don’t have experience against him. Oofmatic won a tourney or two with Yoda, beat myself and a few other people that thought we already knew the answer to beating Yoda lol. But people that played against his Yoda more eventually figured it out, it’s boring to do but you can shut Yoda down pretty much 100%.

Hilde is probably the most broken SC character so far, SC2 and 3 Xianghua were strong, but couldn’t kill you in one hit from as many situations as Hilde can. In a way everyone can one hit KO with a ring out, but it’s an issue of positioning, and there’s risk involved since the other player is theoretically aware of where he is, and what can ring him/her out. This is a major part of the mindgames in Calibur, ring positioning and awareness of when you’re in danger of being rung out. If you put someone in that position and you just do moves blatant to try and get the RO, a smart opponent can predict that and put himself in position to do the same to you, or get some good damage. This is why the belief that ring outs are cheap is misguided, the exception being Hilde.

With Hilde, that threat is there from anywhere on the stage, from moves that are as fast as most normal launchers, can duck or auto GI highs and mids, track step reliably to at least one side (both against characters with weak step) and give her advantage on block all in the same move. All the while, she’s chipping away at your guard meter, and if she breaks it she can kill you that way. Her biggest problem is stage dependency. She’s a lot less scary if she can’t ToD you because of a lot of walls. Sucks too, because SC4 wasn’t such a bad game except for some balance issues. If you ban Hilde, Amy and Kilik become the new broke tier. Get rid of them, and most of Algol’s problem matchups are gone, etc.

And still, none of SC’s broken characters compare to Petshop or ST Akuma. It’s not even close.

Probably doesn’t count because it’s Mugen but…

o.O

HAHAA, they actually made him more insane that he already was. Fucking Mugen is so awful that it’s awesome.

I watched that video of Ivan ooze and that shit is wack.

I don’t think there’s any point in mentioning boss characters, or characters who were designed to be overpowered, for the sake of keeping this thread interesting.

Cinder in KI is broken as fuck, because of all the ridiculous glitches he has, and his infinite.

That’s just not fair.

Besides being from MUGEN, it doesn’t really count because POTS intentionally made him that way to show how to not make a character (because of all the crappy edits of his characters, mainly his Shin Akuma) when he first made Rare Akuma (IIRC, if I’m wrong, I’m sure he’ll correct me). He’s also purposely (almost) undefeatable, so again, it doesn’t really count. All in all, he’s just a Lethal Joke Character (jokes all over his moves).

Seriously folks, it’s Ivan Ooze in the PR fighting game. No one else even comes remotely close. Not even Mugen characters.

I think about half the characters in Clayfighters 2 have infinite combos that will kill you even if you block them, Champion Edition Bison style, and the other half has redizzy combos. I haven’t played it since it came out, but that’s how I remember it being. Not that I think any of them would quite qualify for the most broken character ever.

Any character from a fighting game that lacked proper programming

serious answer: Gotta hand it to that final boss from DOA4, it may be comp controlled but that was the only time I’ve ever said “Fuck this game.” so many times in a row.
