Most balanced I’ve played…Vampire Savior and Guilty Gear (people winning with everyone, you won’t fight a ton of just a few characters but rather you’ll run into many of every character).
Least balanced I’ve played…SF3s (Yun and Chun win every tournament), MVC2 (Sentinel and Storm or Sentinel and Magneto were part of 99% of the teams.)
blufang you’re just repeating some of the most common shit that people have to say in regards to “least balanced” No one gives a shit about the things you’ve mentioned in 3S or mvc2. It’s not new and we all know you’re just trying to get some credit around here.
Balanced characters, though balanced playstyles is important too.
I’m not trying to make a war, nor am I trying to get credit…? I’m just curious, since I have a lot of interests and don’t play every fighting game under the sun, what people feel are the most balanced and least balanced. For the record I played 3s and MVC2, so I’m not just trying to rip on those games or anything.
Actually Vampire Savior is pretty damned imbalanced. Sure every character could win, but the matchups are pretty bad. Q-Bee and Sasquach (and some third person I can’t remember) have nearly 7-3 and 8-2 matchups across the board. I’m sure the game is fun (I have never personally got much into it), but it’s definitely not amonst the balanced. Even hardcore Vampire fans will admit it’s imbalance.
I hear MOTW is pretty imbalanced, but I believe the game has gone through some evolutions in recent years. But I don’t follow it much. I remember when I actually did care, most people said Kain and Kevin Rain pretty much ran the game. But not too sure about the game.
MVC2 is very imbalanced in terms of characters. Only a few viable ones, but very few people played Marvel for it’s balance.
I’m sorry you are so offended. Play thirdstrike is in your signature, btw…should I have lied and said 3s is beautifully balanced Q won the last major tournament?
Zabel is that other character (also known as Lord Raptor), however tournaments have been won with every character except for Anakaris (the mummy). This is why you see such a wide variety of characters in tournaments.
I don’t take Japanese tournaments that seriously. Single elimination doesn’t really give a good measure of character balance. Though it doesn’t surprise me that even in an imbalanced game, a low tier charater could possibly win. However with that said, I don’t think VS is exactly what people would look to as an example of great balance.
hey guys what would you say is the most “Street fighter” of the Street Fighter games
IMO Super Turbo is the most Street Fighter game. Alpha had air block and that’s not Street Fighter. Third Strike had parries and how can you play footsies when you can parry every attack!! SF4 has Seth and that’s definitely not Street Fighter.
just wanted to get your opinions on my original and insightful thoughts thanks in advance
Any topic in which you can literally say anything in the world and have it be a valid answer probably is not a great topic. I’m going to close this thread. Please don’t make topics like this.
