Just can’t have it for the 29-30.

Everybody is talking shit over an event we don’t even really know about yet.

How’ bout you all work your asses off a bit so we can figure where to pull this off, how, how much money$ and whos in charge of equipment.

Rather then talk shit on MMs that might not even happen at this point.

T.O people dont raise the hype, post that crap on the Tournaments and Events thread that will be posted in time.

We throw plenty of mms in marvel despite not having played the game for almost a year and being clearly the underdog just to give you incentive to come

We show up to play different comp and hang with the MTL Crew as we only get to do that like twice a year. If you didn’t want to play MM’s in Marvel no one was forcing you to.

We don’t play Alpha 3 here anymore. The cab was removed from Playscape. It’s not like Montreal Marvel where “we don’t play” really means “we play every so often.” We don’t have A3 anywhere, we don’t play it at all.

I was more than aware that i didn’t have to, I did it to hype things up a little bit.

By “we don’t play” i meant something like 10hours in the last 9months or so if that even counts
If we depended on arcades to play a game, we wouldn’t be playing any game at all as there isn’t a single viable arcade in montreal that’s the reason why we play on consoles.

There’s no need to “create hype” though. Everyone looks forward to MAT every year. As long as it’s a good turnout that’s all that matters. We don’t care about MM’s and shit talk and all the other garbage. We all know it’ll get rowdy when everyone gets together and it’ll be a good time. Nothing else really matters.

A lot of people actually look forward to seeing/playing MMs or grudge matches as much if not more than they do the tournament itself. You should know this better than anyone else.

this is for the guys in the MTL thread who might be interested but don’t check the toronto lovegetty lounge thread, so don’t count this as doubleposting or any please, it’s just to check out if anyone would be willing to come to the Capital Challenge if we also hosted GGAC and MBAC? MBAC would have the advantage of being run on my 21’’ Mac, and i’ll be providing 2 extra USB sticks as well as 2 PS2 converters to let who use sticks or pads to choose whatever they want. GGAC would be run on the standard console stuff so there’s nothing special about it.

i’m mostly asking because the GG/MB scene here consists of around 3 people and i’d only host the games if at least 5 more people would show up. so i just want to see if there’s any interest in it outside Ottawa.

well, when we were about to leave NEC on Monday (extremely windy day) and had the worst chinese food ever, this random dude from Mtl actually overheard our conversation and apparently, he had gotten 5th place at MBAC at the tourney, so eh yeah, that dude might be interested. Oh and Renee as well
