I’ve been really out of the loop with Monster. I haven’t played in ages and I’m not sure if there were any new updates since 1.0a? I think the last time I played was when they did the massive changes were Rail’s modes would alter the form of his spirit and Orju had a broken LVL 3 super. Anything new since then? Yes, I’m aware that the game is getting an official release with redone sprites (are they sprites still? They’ve undergone a huge improvement from the screens I’ve seen) and 6 new characters. I don’t suppose anyone has played around with that version. I’m interested if they were any new balancing tweaks made since then. Alexander was still crap from what I remember. I should get my ass back into the Monster IRC Channel sometime soon.
Well from what we’ve been told, the system is getting a huge upgrade and many things will be changed. Most worryingly, Aleksandr has been deemed “awesome” by Aya. You can expect Othello to be nerfed and Seilie to be buffed. Maya will probably be completely revamped just like a less slutty version of Ivy in every Soul Calibur game. We get 6 new characters + finished Efleet. Two of these new characters have been revealed to be a coyote/wildcat modern American Indian style shaman and an elf knight with a sword. Katze is now much more of an aerial combo machine and seems faster from what I can tell. And Delga could ‘possibly be top tier’.
Despite this, we’ve been promised a balanced cast. Hmmm…
