Monster/Monster: Ancient Cline Discussion thread!

I don’t think the characters from Monster are well-known enough for them to be taken in by Capcom for CvsT. But we might get Jon Talbain if we’re lucky.

Nah. 1 char per game is the rule (maybe it’s gonna be broken when it’s TvC2).

Still… I wish it would happen. XD

How are Monster and TvC related?

Wow the game looks amazing! Much, much better that what I expected.

Rule is a strong word. Anyway they’re obviously considering each sequel a seperate game so your Talbain is a remote possibility. Insert obligatory yiff in hell etc. here.

They’re not.

I was just simply doing some random thinking - what with Shok being a former part of Capcom and all that stuff.

But yeah never mind. Please do continue with the Monster loving.

Well Talbain is known as being one of the most popular Darkstalkers characters within a western audiance…although in Japan they don’t much care for him and he hasn’t been in many games.

Some of that could also be Shok’s doing, I don’t know.

But he was a really noisy wolf.

Talbain or Othello?

And well, Talbain’s one of the few of Capcom’s kemono characters - I know there’s Leo from Warzard and Zelkin from Plasma Sword. And then I recall seeing in a Capcom poster a red bird in an “airboard”.

Talbain. Othello’s not that noisy, he just trash talks. Talbain is like “AWOOH! AWOOH! ROOOO! AROO, AROO WOOO GRR AROOO” for the whole battle if you’re playing him properly. It’s actually pretty humorous.

And when he’s idle he also growls, lol

No new stuff for us yet? Come on, this is sad. D:

nope sorry, no new information until this weekend. So sorry for you

Hmm shaman kemono has a rather fit gown. I guess he has Othello/Katze’s build. Then again usually kemonos are drawn like that.

I wonder how he fights. Does he have a healing super/shift? lol

Yeah, I noticed that kemo artists like to make their male characters either muscular or overweight. It’s not common to see a middle build like Rail and Orju.

But anyway, his title is something like “shaman of haze”. I’m expecting smoke or ice related magic attacks, possibly ones which obscure the characters actions. Kindo of like that purple haired chick with the fire hydrant in Eternal Fighter Zero.

His design makes me wonder what kind of time frame this game’s world is set in. Everyone else looks edo period, tribal or medieval by design, but his clothes are really very modern…could be a time traveller?

My guess is that, in the end, MONSTER is in the same boat as Vampire/Darkstalkers (which would make sense, considering this is ShoK we’re talking about here).

In a world where so many different “styles” and “cultures” are represented, it’s probably a thing that they all co-exist together in the same world, and the various levels of technology/magic/whatever just makes “sense” for whatever region of the world said character hails from.

All we need is a robot/cybernetic organism like Phobos/Huitzil, and maybe some sort of pirate and ninja involvement, and we would have all the feasible genres we’d need!

Robo-Katze would fucking OWN :looney:

lol Robo-Katze

what about that tiger ninja dude? We don’t have a tiger character after all (Ryougen strikes me more as a liger than a tiger).

Lol! Robo-Katze. Extending punches and lazer eyes.

I’m surprised nobody is discussing the red-haired elf character yet. He/she has a sword…does that mean his/her attacks will be unblockable like Aleks? So now we have two characters with unblockable attacks?

If I remember correctly, I don’t think Delga and Rail’s blade moves were blockable either. Perhaps each character will have more unblockable attacks. Like for Othello, perhaps he could have some deep claw/bite attacks that penetrate guard.

old tranq othello’s bite

No one told me that the “borrowed” characters have wallpaper. :frowning:
