This is good news. The more beasts from out of town the better.
Thanks for saying what should have been said in post #1 Dan. You gonna make it down Saturday?
i’ll really try my hardest to come down, isnt this one of the biggest event of the year? LOL! who wants to miss this?!
it would be me pablo and jetay fighting for top three. id prolly get 3rd cuz i play wow ;/
edit: dan! im not goin to majors but if your still in town that night we should go to a bar or somethin!
You can preregister with a credit card from the site.
FakeDragonDudeski,
I’m down for a $10 FT5’s, or anything else you can come up with. I’m not trying to break the bank though, I’ve got rent to pay.
As everyone else knows, I like to play the game a lot, so making a new friend is my real goal.
Sure, that is fine. I have talked to Kenny today and said he will only accept money matches if the characters chosen are arcade characters a.k.a no console characters. He doesnt want to pull a “Dan from Japan”.
I like how people pretend the console version hasn’t been out for 6 months already.
He’ll be awfully surprised in the tourney then because I am pretty sure console characters are somewhat popular these days.
That sucks for jared, cause he plays seth…oh well these are the rules he wants what can you do.
If by " pulling a Dan from Japan " you really mean losing to a better player, then yes that tends to happen. because all Dan did was lose to a better player.
strong words
He is fine with playing against a console character in the tournament. Afterall, it is a console tournament, but he does not want to play an optional match against a character he has no experience with or know what the hell it is like for money, which is understandable. Maybe you can ask him again in person at the day of the tournament, but I am not sure he will accept.
does he play money match with handicap matches?
What do you mean? Like give odds? You gotta ask him yourself I think.
Sounds like our Money Match won’t be happening.
It’s interesting to me that someone who is into the game enough to spend all that time with it wouldn’t want to bother learning to fight the console characters. I understand that in Japan you would mostly play arcade, but I know plenty of people in Japan have consoles, and I would only think that most tourneys would include console characters if only because its so much cheaper to setup a 360/PS3 than it is to get an arcade cabinet.
Actually setting up a tournament in an arcade is fairly easy in Japan. I think they have weekly TRF tournaments? I think it has to do with the culture difference. Arcade seems to be the main focus amongst asians (not just in Japan, in Hong Kong as well), while arcades are few and far between in North America so they stick to console instead.
Anyone know if this tournament is going to be running on Xbox or PS3?
360 afaik.
Seeing as no one, not even their Grandma, bothers to unlock Seth for me, I’m bringing mine and playing on 360 at least.
No problem playing on either system, but don’t have a PS3 stick.
