Hey guys, I get the error, “Failed to access file” sometimes and then the game crashes. I have only created one of my own skins (to be posted in the skins thread).
I’m just wondering if any of you have gotten this error after hacking your own skin.
Yes I have got that error sometimes.
- Close the file you were editing
- Don’t have files in your SF4 folders with long or weird names.
Can anyone make gouki alt costume with that thing on his back removed? The same with Gouken.

Wow all this brings back memories of my SC2 and DOA3 modding days (rip ninja hacker) … Is it not allowed atm to do any work on the ALT costumes? IF so, Bisons alt would be sick if someone turned the arm with the ripped cloth into something cyborg or metal like on the black costume color. WHen I first saw it on xbl thats what I thought it was cause it was on a bad tv and they had the black outfit on lol so it looked like something totally different. I always wanted to see bison like that for some reason. btw: bison = dictator. ty for reading and keep up the great work!
Hey Lounger , how about removing the clothes from Rose’s alt costume leaving only her underwear lmao…! Also nice tool, when are you planning to set it loose ? Btw , sakura looks really nice. I r want that skin noweh!! Including the above rose skin as well lol…
This happened when I removed Ken’s Obi (Gi Jacket). It looks good from the front however.
It confuses me, because when looking through the .dds file from Ken_01_01.col.emz, the back is whole. And yes, the only thing I removed was his obi, i’ve quadruple-checked.
So why the hell is there a hole there? “Insert battery HERE!”?

The Sakura skin is one that I call “S1C01_S2C10_Mixup”…
It’s a Skin1-Color01 + Skin2-Color10 Mixup, so actually it’s the Alt. costume Color10, with textures from Normal costume Color01, thus removing the tanned skin with all the scars.
If everything goes as planned, I will release the tool today. The whole “file writing” part was finished a couple days ago, but it’s not implemented yet.
