I have a few wiring questions. But first, I ordered a sanwa jlf 8t with mounting screw octagon gate bubble top and bat top from lizard lick. also 8 obsf 30 snap in pushbuttons. I have never modded before and need help. ok so i also went to the store thinking i only needed 16 quick disconnects but the clerk said i needed both male and female (do i?) so i ended up with 40. they are 22 gauge fit, i also was looking for 20 feet of 22 guage stranded wire and did find some but instead got 90 feet. Keep in mind i haven’t opened anything. questions; 1: Do i need both male and female quick disconnects? i don’t get how that works, 2: Do i need solid or stranded wire?
3: would it be smarter to take them back and go to a store like princess auto, or go to lizard lick ? or just keep what i have. sorry 4 wall of text but it’s important.
You only need Female.
Stranded is better than solid.
Return the Male.
Hi I read on some reviews from Amazon that the Mayflash stick doesn’t work with some ps2 fighting games like Tekken 5, Soul Calibur 3 & Guilty Gear when playing on the actual ps2.
It seems kinda odd as to why it would work for some games not others, however before I plonk down the cash to get one, could anyone confirm this for me?
How would I go about switching out the old start/select buttons to a regular microswitched button?
You can’t.
There are not Buttons that small.
You can put Buttons with Microswitch somewhere else though.
And then route wires from Buttons to the PCB.
hmmm. do you think there is a way to cover up those holes without plexiglass and art? I have 3 left over 24mm buttons I really want to use.
Without Acrylic or art?
You can fill it up with putty or something.

The Korean Joysticks that are on eTokki do not use Restrictor Gate.
For future reference, I never got farther than that step, so I"m just as clueless as to how to mount a Kstick in there as anybody else, really.

Yeah, my Mayflash has a JLF in it, mounted exactly the way Laugh did in his tutorial (only half a year earlier) except that I drilled through the restrictor plate and screwed from the very bottom.
