But a Shoryuken has invul and can be FADC’d. I’d argue that the risk vs reward isn’t worth using it. I’d rather tech or use IAD Shikusen without the follow up(which is much safer) to escape a throw. But that’s me, do whatever you feel is best.

shitty wake up game and PREDICTABLE wake up game. i like to use u1 against rufus and bait out ex messiah kicks, block the flipkick or focus the other two followups and land combos.

u1 is really just about instilling fear into the opponent. in a way it’s kinda like rose’s u2 or sagat’s angry scar. the opponent is forced to take things slower or get off of you for the time being – if they’re smart. if they just start to mash, then you know they’re stupid and you can take advantage of that, while in FSE or otherwise.

I agree. FSE is really only useful against no more than 20% of the entire cast (e.g. Vega, Hakan, etc.) and even then, U2 can be just as useful against those characters. There are just too many defensive options in SF4. Coupled with Juri’s lack of offensive game, the Ultra becomes less useful. And people are already over the “fear” factor of U1.

I’ve always believed that U2 is the better Ultra (and I personally rarely use FSE, if at all). Certain damage (relatively strong) and, even though she doesn’t have too many ways to combo into it, she DOES have ways to do so. It most definitely has it’s uses. Granted, it’s not a great Ultra but most definitely better than U1.

You don’t already do this? o.O; IADK -> Ultra 2 works against a lot of the cast. Look through the thread to find the exact list. Also, you can IADK -> short/ex.Senpusha for some dmg outside of ultra. My device I use to record stuff is not working atm, so you guys have to wait a little longer for the Juri video to come out >.>

Well, there’s a PSN Euro tournament stream that’s about to start at 17:00 PM, GMT+1, which is a long way off, with a whole bunch of players, including myself. So, hopefully, you’ll get to see my crappy Juri on stream! I’m planning to stick with Juri the whole way through, I’m going to get beat down because I don’t feel my Juri’s up to par, but we’ll see what happens.

Any insight what went wrong with RED_VECTOR, lack of abel matchup experience or just couldn’t get a read on him? I’ve played him and he seems very hard to grasp. The Abel MU overall feels … weird.

I tried recording some of your matches from the stream, but it was a spur of the moment decision so the quality is crap and i don’t know if I got audio. I’ll see if I’ll upload those one day when I got spare time.

I was just being so retarded lol. He was falling into a pattern, but I didn’t stay calm and defend properly, I panicked. His jumping fierce beat my aerials attacks everytime, that was a shock. He can’t tech, I should have grabbed more and used TK Dives to punish command grabs. On wake-up, I got messed up, because it could be a command throw, an overhead, a cross-up, a low lol. So I backdashed to get outta there but was getting hit because I’m dumb and couldn’t defend properly.

Should have poked more as well. And he would roll right up to me and throw me, I should have seen that coming.

Lastly, Wheel Kick, ate far too many of those. I think I can use Fuhajin Kick to stop that. But overall, not my finest hour lol.

And that would be really great if you could upload my stream matches!
