I agree, it’s possible to touch three face button with a thumb or the index + thumb.
On pad, I tend to alternate between arcade stick-esque presses (index and middle and sometimes thumb on face buttons) and the traditional pad ones (thumb on face buttons, other fingers on shoulder ones). It’s how I played SF2 and CvS2 on PS2 pad back in the day. lol photo evidence
I think the one you listed is 532 damage. The one from the video is 541 and the highest damaging combo into ultra I’ve been able to do.
OK, guess I can ask some questions, too.
In the corner, is it possible to do Dive Kick > Fireball Charge > Ultra 2 (Negative Edge)? I keep trying to do it, but can’t land it, so I’m blaming it on me sucking with my execution. I just can’t get the Ultra to come out after the fireball charge in this instance.
A while ago I saw a video where someone did multiple strong kasatushis against multiple hitting projectiles like Ryu’s Ultra 1. Is this still possible? If so, how?
Ah, ok. I’ll quit trying to do it then. I need to find that post where the person linked me Juri’s juggle properties. It completely confuses me. Like how I can do A2A j.mp > lk pinwheel FADC Ultra, or A2A j.mp sc.hp > Ultra, but I can’t do sc.hp > lk pinwheel FADC Ultra.
Of an air to air trade you can do fadc mk or hk pin into u2, but slightly less damage then if you did it from lk pin.
Also fa lvl 3>ex dive kick>U2 does around 550 if i remember, but the chances of hitting the raw fa lvl 3 is very unlikely to happen as often as you like.
Oh, I wasn’t trying to say “this should work”. It’s just that when I say to myself “I wonder if that works” instead of looking it up, I just hit the training room and try it out. But I refound the whole juggle property thread, so I’ll be using that as a reference now.
What’s the 'IA" mean? That fuzzy guard? Cause I thought that was character specific. And even then I can never seem to land the EX dive kick afterwards.
Question, first to the Juris, can elf mash out u2 and still hit juri after blocking ex lk fuhajin? I got hit with that after he blocked ex fuhajin and still at an ultra. maybe i shoulda jumped? i dunno, it befuddles me.
Low EX Fuhajin should be +5 on block, but Elf’s ultra is a grab. So you have time to do something but if you do nothing he’ll nab you.
(El_Cor, you’re thinking of Shikusen.)
What seems to be the main issue with the fight? Which twin is giving you the most difficulty?
What i usually do with Yun is try to keep max distance from him and let him eat a lot of lk fireballs. I tend to like to try this fight like a mini gief fight. You don’t want to let him get in on you, otherwise you have to deal with his pressure.
For yang, try not to jump in on him has much and try to to let go fireball stock during a block string so he can’t counter you with rolling kick. You don’t need distance on yang, you need to be on him, i find that’s where most of my success against him comes from. If he has the life lead and lames you out, prepare to dig deep to win. At that point he can counter most everything you do. Most yangs will have u2 to handle Juri. So don’t fireball stock if he’s close, don’t jump in…ever! He only needs one hit to go into full animation.
Mostly if you seem to have major trouble with the twins, play someone who plays the twins on your friendlist. I sub yang so i can give you the match up know how. For extra help going to the lab never is a bad idea. Set up situations where yun dive kicks and goes into cr. lk right after and see if you can counter it or grab him. Same for yang, for whatever he’s giving you the most trouble with.
Anyway i hope this helps a bit.
it’s a one frame link, so it requires some strict execution and practice. I can’t even do it myself and i’ve been playing juri for a while. If you think that fadc is vital to your gameplan then add it.
Vital? No. But I’m just thinking that in the corner c.mk > pinwheel > FADC s.lk > c.lk > fireball charge > Ultra 2 might be handy to do when I don’t have a fireball charge and I hit confirm a c.mk poke.
