I thought the little stories on the bakers were funny but yah a pretty meh episode and me being a Pinkie fan that is saying something. I liked the small James Bond spin off, the old time western cartoon scene, but mostly the Ninja Mule part haha XD

I don’t know why, but seeing those hexagons filled with static makes me wonder who the other 11 will be again. It also occurred to me, that the whole hexagon motif they’re using is similar to CVS2’s diamond motif.

As much as I like watching Pinkie Pie be Pinkie Pie, I think the episode would have gone better if Applejack had the staring role.
Swap the Sherlock Holmes parallels with something more along the lines of something by Dashiell Hammett. Applejack could have made a great Sam Spade. The 1930s motif could have made the Friendship Express into the Orient Express, with more than enough pulp era character archetypes (think characters from the board game Clue COUGHHASBROCOUGH, if you want to go a softer, more approachable route) to give everyone on the train a part. The ‘murders’ of the cake could have still been imagined by Pinkie Pie, but in the new motif. Pinkie could have even been a suspect herself, something that I’m surprised didn’t come in the actual episode.
I liked the episode, all in all, but Applejack’s presence was completely needless, considering the roles the others played.
Question: The CMC’s won’t be in the game?
Not at first, but they will more likely than not be in the game in one of the subsequent patches, either as a single character or 3 separate ones.
The real question is, three characters or one?
I swear to god this could be the worst fighting game since Pit Fighter and this game will still sell a shit ton on XBL/PSN. There’s like 500k views just for the songs on youtube. LOL.
Everyone’s worried about all girl fighter making sales when they have no idea that all girl pony fighter could rock the world.

It makes me kind of sad… that aside… I’d like to see these guys make an original fighter after they finish this project. Nothing against their choice to do a MLP game, I just want more American fighters.
I’m personally not a fan of the pokemon trainer gimmick. And I can’t see them fighting solo. No one took the ‘pet’ sized characters in Samurai Showdown seriously. Unless there is a flash forward episode in the far future, I’d rather keep them on the sidelines.

And as for making another fighting game after this? Nothing is impossible! The truth is though this game would not exist or be as popular if it wasn’t for ponies. We had to put in almost zero effort for the thing to become known and popular. I have a lot more respect for people making their own game where there isn’t a premade user/fan base ready to eat it up. Saying that, we aren’t just pooping this out to get internet points, we want it to be playable by non-fans of the series.
All that being said, if you guys collectively decide to do another game and FiM is a hit, instant credibility.
The brony community at large knows Mane6, and another project, even one not pony related, will catch their eye. Plus as an inde fighting game maker, the FGC has their eye on you as well.
