Back to the previous topic, every time I watch that Derpy video, the manly tears… they flow.

The whole Derpy situation is dumb for both parties.
The Derpy Debacle just makes me sad. I’m disappointed that they went ahead and removed her name, but I think the new voice is fine, although it all seems really unnecessary to me.
I’m also really disappointed in the brony community as a whole, since it seems to have responded with a great deal of vitriol, and that’s just not what I think being a brony is all about.
I’m disappointed that they went and changed her voice like that, but I dislike what a lot of people have been doing. Sending angry letters, making protests, there’s this whole “Save Derpy” movement people are trying to push. Now that I think about it, it’s just a retarded horse in a television show. Let angry mothers protest all they want.
People say this fanbase is like any other and then we have this raving over a crosseyed horse.
At least the death threats whenever a romantic show gets the wrong pairing are 99% fake.
I feel less weird from liking magical girls than this show at this point.
Can we just remove the “brony” entirely, its only made this fanbase more divided than a pizza in an orphans’ home.

Apparently hasbro could actually get sued because derpy is well… if you look at her from the perspective of someone who doesn’t know about the fanbase, derpy does seem offensive. While I know a lot of mentally disabled people don’t have a problem and even enjoy derpy being in the show with her eyes and voice, you don’t think some definitely will be?
The creators of the show have done a lot for us, but bronies are in the minority when it comes to the shows viewers, we are not worth getting sued over.

Yah I got over the fact that they changed her voice. The video states the there are logical reasons for them to do this yah it hurt that the creators made a awesome scene as a shout out to bronies but I mean is she really going to change in our mines? I thought bronies made up 80% of the show’s audience? I know that children and families are the target audience, but bronies aren’t numerically the minority… unless those stats are not actually based on fact.

Far as viewership goes, I doubt bronies are in the majority. My Little Pony is still a hit with kids, plus it has plenty of brand recognition amongst older gen fans with kids.
We’re just infinitely more vocal than the target audience, seeing as the target audience is somewhere between three and ten.

Yeah, if you go by youtube video statistics, a lot of bronies hit up the show via youtube. Since the Hub isn’t in all countries & it’s in paid for service.
I don’t think little children would go on the internet making art and music over the show.

The game looks like it’s going to be very solid, but the possible lack of training mode seems pretty scary to me. Of all fighting games, this one needs to introduce new players to basic fighting game mechanics the most. Skullgirls does that in spades.
You could just hit up local multiplayer & make a gimp training mode. I guess I hear whatcha mean on the “introducing new players front” since a lot of bronies aren’t fighting game players, maybe they could write up a tutorial on their website teaching basics, since I know a lot of bronies knowledge of fighting games is limited to smash brothers.
Yeah, you’re right, I was actually about to edit my previous statement. Practicing combos and links on a gimp AI is a great starting point for any beginner. Afterward, however, it would be useful to get a dummy AI to jump in a corner to practice anti-airs, or throw fireballs to practice projectile punishes. At that point though, finding friends (this is what it’s all about, right?) to spar with may be the way to get even better.
A full practice (I meant PRACTICE, not TRAINING! sorry) mode, let alone a full tutorial may be far beyond the dev team’s resources with 2D fighter maker.
I think a link to a good number of tutorials they make themselves, an ad for it on the post-selection intro, and an illustrated guide in the zip file would suffice.
Though with the HUGE fanbase, I don’t think learning by themselves vs learning by trade would really reject a significant amount of players.

I enjoy MLP and Skullgirls but I’ll only be enjoying this game for shits and giggles.
