Good news/Bad news everyone. The good news is that we are not doing a BSU this week. And the bad news is that we are putting some extra stuff into the EVO build that’s not just minute changes to existing moves!! It’s been a long weekend of work including a power outage for half a day for two of our team…
Anyway, Evo build has a lil’ somethin somethin and we’ll try get up some cool stuff to look at for next week.

Finally saw PARTY.MOV
I dunno, I don’t really find them funny.
I feel like at times the dude tries WAY to hard to be funny by making something really gross as possible or try to find some sort of shock value, when in the end it came out as “meh”.
But I did laugh at the warning label on the alcohol.
“Caution: do not apply to open flame. do not apply to flame or heat. Do not give to babies unless you are really bored or something I don’t know. that might be funny I guess. a drunk baby. he would be like oh man goo goo ga ga i’m so wasted. I’m going to puke my strained peas all over my crib lolololo”
That’s kinda the point, its shock humor, and more so in contrast to the general upbeatness of the official MLP show. Its not for everyone, and its not to be overanalyzed, kinda kills the joke.
I feel like he’s using the grotesque humor is to make up for the lack of creativity.
Because he’s not clever with the writing, he tries to throw in shock value in attempt to make something funny out of it.
i.e. like the snail fucking joke.
I was confused when he first said it was a straight face, but it was a “I smiled, laughed inside” kind of confused.
But he kept going on with it over and over like, “She fucked a snail” so many times.
It’s like a kid coming up to you and saying a joke, but you didn’t laugh but the kid found himself funny and kept asking you, “Did you find it funny?! DID YOU FIND IT FUNNY?!” over and over.
Granted, the animation is good, but his humor is below sub par.

I disagree with this. It’s just another form of humor, kinda like anti-humor (shows like Tim and Eric) its so unfunny, that it is funny. Some people like it, others get confused or don’t find it at all funny. But your opinion is just as respected.
You’re either talking about Rarity or Twilight. Rarity has more of a posh accent, since she’s sophisticated. I don’t hear British, but anyways. Details of the name of the moves aren’t out there, and I don’t know how to add a yt link in here, but if you youtube “manesixdev”, it’ll bring you to the developers channel. There you can watch the previous livestream footage and see it for yourself. :] Although I hope the moves and the names stay within the realm of MLP and not reference other fighting games so much.
P.S. Faust is pretty awesome.
That’s way different, cause the guy making the .Mov videos is clearly trying to be funny. But it just isn’t working 80% of the time.
I’m not disgusted about it, it’s just not funny or shocking.
Another thing about the Tim an Eric show is that they make fun of things you can relate to, then adding the over-exaggerating point, then stating the joke and sometimes it’s funny. For the most part, their jokes are actually really clever. Even some of their drawn out jokes can create a laugh if they mis-fired the first time.
And it never feels like they’re trying to hard to be funny, they just seem like their having fun.
.Mov series feels like the guy is just trying way to hard sometimes and at times I can’t help but think he’s using the MLP theme as a ploy to get more hits on his flash videos.
I dunno.
Sounds more like South Park than Tim and Eric. TaE isn’t relatable or topical, its random and crude. .Mov, to me, is just for entertainment, a sort of twisted version of MLP, and that’s its goal. It would be completely different if it wasn’t based on the show.
Anyways this is getting of topic, let’s agree to disagree and end it here.
Never ever underestimate the amount the people will overanalyse stuff. Check out our latest “BSU”. It’s just a pic that was taken from one of the flash files I was working in over the weekend, a sketch of an idea, and people in the comments are trying to analyse the fact there is a pentagon in the picture and what it could mean.
I did happen to check out the BSU and wooooooooooooooooooooooow… those comments, “I wonder if the five sided hexagon is hinting at something. Perhaps Rainbow Dash is forthcoming…” “hopefully the 5-sidedhexagon doesn’t mean they’re leaving one pony out… :(”
