Some idiots threw baseballs into the outfield during the 8th, play stopped for like 15 minutes while stadium employees ran around to pick all the crap up, and umpires threatened to force us to forfeit the game if it kept going. I would have took a swing at someone if we somehow forfeited a 12-5 game in the 8th inning. Toronto fans are huge douches in big promotional games like Opening Night and Toonie Tuesdays - they can’t even hand out schedule magnets now before the game because they all end up on the field.
But 500 level was throwing paper airplanes all night, some got onto the field, and I bet a lot of the lower levels weren’t happy with all the shit they were throwing down onto them. A lot of the usual douchebaggery all around, like guys starting GO LEAFS GO chants like they thought it was funny or something, starting YANKEES SUCK chants for absolutely no reason, trying to start waves in the second inning during crucial at-bats, wearing Frank Thomas jerseys…standard stuff.
I saw a Royce Clayton jersey today too, that was hilariously bad.

Yup, Griffey is a very likeable guy. Really wish he didn’t have an injury-ridden career. I didn’t give a fuck/was not shocked that A-Rod did steroids, but if Griffey was ever said to, I’d probably just stop watching baseball altogether.
