I merged the UMK3 and MKII GG’s threads, so you have one less 1/4 inch to scroll down. As this sub forum grows, the regular threads will out number the stickies. BTW, i hope you dont ever go in the SF4/SSF4 subforums.
BTW, as excited as I am, as well as the MK community is about MK9, the game wont be as good as UMK3. MKvDC sucks, but UMK3 will always be the best MK.
Awesome man… that was a great interview. Hector is a really down to earth guy, really interesting, and seems to know what we want. MK9 seems to be getting better and better.
So if they dont want Liu kang to win for the reboot who wins the first tournament?I don’t see Scorpion just knocking out the good guys and winning(I.E. He would kill their ass)
Well, since Sub-Zero is apparently the older brother in this game, that means he probably doesn’t lose to Scorpion, who ends up killing him and turning into Noob Saibot. I say “Classic” Sub-Zero wins the tournament. If not Sub-Zero, then it’s probably going to be Raiden since he’s apparently the main character of this little time travel tale.
I cant wait to see what they do with raiden. I hope they keep this back/ forward lightning, and torpedo rush. Raiden was one of my favorites from trilogy
Imagine what the possibilities could work out to being if raiden had his x-ray start off with a lightening bolt! I thing somthing like:
Chain to pop up -> front lightening -> dash ->front punch ->back lightening-> X-ray
raiden FTW
Shang sung needs to keep his transformation somehow. I imagine it being instead of transforming into the full character, shang could transform to do a specific move from every character. like this; soul axe (nightwolf)-> front punch-> harpoon chain (scorpion)-> chain to juggle-> uppercut teleport sektor. I think the developers would put a limit to the number of transformations you could do mid combo so you dont end up with the mess that we had with triology. It just seems like too much work to ave every character in full, but who knows, this game has been in development for a while!
Raiden can’t win the tournament. He’s Immortal/Not “Mortal”. He’s always been around for the tournaments n fighting niggas for shits and giggles, but he’s never actually been in the tournament. He’s a fuckin god. God’s can’t win Mortal Kombat.
I have a bit more faith in MK2011 after buying MK2 off PSN. I had 8 PSN wallet bucks and was deciding between it and Flow (that PS3 game where you eat things in the ocean to evolve), and got MK2. After playing online, and getting about 3 minutes of fun out of the offline mode, I was thinking I should have gone with Flow. Jesus; MK2 sucked a lot harder than I remember. I’m used to all these things now that just aren’t there, like responsive inputs. It’ll be better once I get used to it again, but I’m just saying…
People keep talking about the first few MK games as if they’re the greatest of the series, and I already feel MK2011 will trounce all over them. That’s not saying much, but it gives me some hope.
