I agree with you Reppa, but I’ll add that there should be some way within the gameplay to hint at fatality inputs. I think I talked of this in another thread. Something like an aura that spikes everytime you input the right button or something. Perhaps dots at the bottom that, while never showing off the actual button presses, light up when you input the right direction in a fatality.
I don’t know. It just bugs me that with all the secrets MK has tried to jam into its games over the years, fatality hints only ever made the cut in MK:Shaolin Monks. They’d help you without having to go to the internet. I can’t tell you how many times a fatality input has been right on the tip of my brain but I couldn’t figure out the last button press. Also, finding them out on your own could be fun and add a tiny bit of replay value.
After watching the 2nd video im pretty sure the reptile player was going for the ultimate run loop or some variation of it. I hope they realize that some chars will have a easier time landing x-ray combos and balance the dmg accordingly. That is if they keep launch combos that lead to free hit specials ( Freeze, Spear, Stryker’s Machine Gun). If not I wont be surprised if chars like sub-zero or scorpion are tops because of them. Than again if the game is gonna be close to ultimate maybe Sub-zero needs it.
Great! This is a thread about 2D MK, so if you don’t like it gtfo and stfu. What is your purpose here? Exactly everything that you said you hate. Go talk about 3D MK to your 1 friend that you play it with on Gamecube and leave everyone else the fuck out of it.
DLC -ALITIES would be great. Having the option to buy Babalities would be cool, mostly because you could baby someone that doesn’t even have the DLC and that’d just be funny. I can’t wait to flawless baby somebody. Oh fuck hahahha I can just see it now. Someone on the big screen at EVO flawless babies Marn or Jwong pffffhahahha
you just hear the baby crying and the stream camera zooms in on one of them, facepalming. ahhhh hahahaha
Why can’t we get our own discussion forum (instead of just these random threads all over the place)? Mortal Kombat is a big well known franchise and with MK2011 coming out around the corner, it deff deserves one. MvC3 has some serious competition… and that’s saying a lot.
That’s exactly what I said in the first post of this thread. We need a subforum! If not a main one like SSF4 or Marvel, then atleast one in the “Strategy Zone” with Tekken, Blazblue, KOF, etc.
In fact, I asked a bunch of mods if they could just move this thread to the “Fighting Games” sub-forum, or even merge this thread with the “new mortal kombat is coming” thread and didn’t get a reply
thanks man i appreciate it. i’ve been getting kinda behind over the past couple days but as soon as i get a moment i’ll update it with some other stuff that’s popped up
Eh it was played at a tourney in texas I believe and tom brady won it. It was more than tourneyworthy but most people didn’t give it a shot because of the superman infinite which wasn’t even as bad as some of the marvel infinites or some other reason.
Most of the mk community like juggs dismissed it because it wasn’t mk enough or they just didn’t like how different it was.
I highly doubt that even if this is good that people will give it enough of a chance to start a scene. The last game was good and all attempts to start a scene failed.
On the off chance that you do get a scene in atlanta I got no problems taking your money at tournaments.
“Male 5” is undoubtedly Sektor. According to his bio, Sektor was the first member of the Lin Kuei to undergo the cyborg transformation. The “Male 5” tidbit also mentions how he “seeks rogue clan members to undergo the cyber-transformation”, which is also undoubtedly referring to the Tekunin, Sektor’s clan of ninja-assassin cyborgs. …sheesh, listen to me sounding like a big MK storyline nerd.
“Male 9” I cannot quite determine. He’s a member of the Lin Kuei, since it mentions that he’s leaving the guild due to it becoming interested in cyborg-conversion. Actually, it’s Cyrax, now that I think about it. Cyrax is black, his MK4 ending(or was it Sektor’s?) and alternate MK:DA costume prove it. Maybe we’ll be seeing a non-cyborg Cyrax after all in this new MK…!
So, yeah…the two mystery males are Sektor and Cyrax.
Props on the OP, man. Great job. Too bad I can’t say the same about the “discussion” that took place afterwards. Glad there is at least an MK section now though! It’s rough that this beast is still so far away and now the news seems to be coming out at a snail’s pace.
