Just letting loose out loud and how irritant the dash is. Kabal.
reptile shouldnt be a problem for kabal, he has ground razors and his fireball which are pretty hard for reptile to get around.
Reptile has those balls and spit (especially slow + spit) and so I can’t always be willing to take the hit with EX dash, it’ll just fail and 11%+ 1 bar gone. Reptile can also Elbow dash in freely after blocking a low saw so I have to be even more scarce with those and if a Acid Ball hits me from full screen it’s free 27%.
It seems my only option is to just piss him off with consistent (always hitting) air balls and I’ll -never- be able to do them consistently until I get a HitBox, though I still work on them for a while every time before I jump online.
My other option and really my only one (since instant airs aren’t consistent) is to EX dash and hope he doesn’t acid spit after I absorb a hit from a acid ball and cancel it for a throw (if close enough), ground saws or overhead. Other than that, I have to play how they want aslong as long they know basic stuff all because he can zone and rush down retardedly good well without consequence.
I’m not settling for 11% max when I have to do all that meter dependant play. I COULD get 23% if he doesn’t react fast enough to a “up in your face” dash cancel so I can begin Kabals low combo (extermination) and hopefully the player doesn’t mash up and down like crazy to fuzzy block it.
I haven’t seen a single Reptile player (competent or not) show care in using the dash. Even Scorpions show care with their teleport. I’m sick of blocking one and attempting to punish only to get another one straight to the face, or having them cross over me and combo me during my punish attempt and if I prevent the jump over with F4 and try to proceed from there I get slapped with another one or something. Match win or lose, the shit is irritating. NRS would probably give Yun Sonic Booms without the need for charge.
Anyway, I’ve calmed down now and mah bad if I offended you somehow since you play Rep and the posts don’t mean to be long, I’m just laying out situations.
In other news, I wonder if Rain’s water squirt move that was in the trailer is Enhanced or normal. It’s similar to the EX Acid Spit animation.

None of reptile’s moves get him past kabal’s zoning tho, hes got no armor on dash or slide unless its a wake up ex slide. Anyone with good zoning can be a serious problem for rep.
I have to agree, its not necessary for jade and kitana to have 4 costumes when others only have 2.
^I didn’t watch the video till I read your comment. I’m less annoyed now knowing that it’s some other classic kostumes but I still stand by the fact that other characters could use an expanded wardrobe. The Ninja dick riding needs to grind to a halt for awhile.

Can’t please all the nerds I guess Shrug I’m happy they are giving me free stuff, it’s pretty cool of them. Even the Season Pass things is neat, kudos to the team so far and the dedication they are giving this title.
Technically speaking no I can’t complain about free content but they could of given alot of other characters another costume b4 they started to give other characters a 4th. Especially when in my nearly 2000 online matches Ive only ever played 2 people who used Jade.
Yeah like I’m not mad about it being free. It’s just like they are back to Jade and Kitana again when there are ton of other characters deserving of at least one classic Kostume. Sonya is dying to be in her jumpsuit.
I mean it’s dope that we have these two but they could have pushed it back till some other time and made a Sonja and Jax combo or a Kabal and Kano combo or a Quan Chi and Shang Tsung combo.
Another character after Rain will be dlc, so chances are more costumes will be available. Considering what has been done so far, NRS has done a good job keeping the game fresh.
^Oh that I do not deny. They are keeping it hella fresh. Game came out months ago and we are still talking about it like it came out yesterday.

Is there a short summary of each characters’ playstyles? Like on the old SSF4 wiki, or the more in-depth guides on Eventhubs.
Playing story mode help me decide since you get to try different folks. I also decide based on how natural a character feels to me.
Pick a character you think is cool looking and then try them or you can go thru story mode like Furry suggested.
