Interview with Boon. Pretty much confirms Shao Kahn and perhaps a Goro or other bosses as playable. Also talks about single player and story. The ‘story’ mode will be twice as long as the last MK. There’s also 2 mode for single player. Very interesting. The full vid is cut out, hopefully they upload the rest.
After Destructoid & 1up both quote Boon as saying MK vs SF is “inevitable”. I personally would love that.

Besides, if it was a video from a recent MK demo, I think the team would be more eager to show the newly revealed characters and stages.

what are the odds of boss character being balanced? I always like Goro and Shao Kahn but I fear due to their status that they’ll never be legal.
I was surprise Kahn was playable in MK vs DC but if correct he couldn’t be grabbed. I hope they don’t take that route again with designing playable versions.
You can grab him, also, him and DS were high tier, not top but definitely up there.

I, on the other hand, hope they stray completely away from “extra” modes like that for this game. They only melt development time for something people don’t really care about after the first week of playing. They need to build on their basic gameplay.
