It’s pretty damn easy to find this game unless you live in the middle of nowhere. We had a couple places break the street date here in Salt Lake… I’m sure it’s much easier to find in some bigger cities. Not everyone is a pirate.

I’m still unsure about this game. At times it looks fluid and others it looks no better than mk4(slight exaggeration, i know). Everything looks like it has a sluggish delay. Mk2 and 3 didn’t have the best animation, obviously, but everything was tight and snappy. It’s even more jarring when you go from a few rounds of sf4 and then to this.

There was a KOTH stream where someone was reliably pulling off 8-9 hit 30% teleport combos, which suggests it’s not awful at the very least.

Sheeva and Baraka both seem below average. Friend was telling me Quan Chi is the same, but I haven’t unlocked him yet. But it’s kind of early and shit can change.

I’ve picked up my copy yesterday and spent most of the day in Story Mode. Story Mode is amazing and it took me about 5 or 6 hours to make it to 50%. Boss fights are hard and it’s a good way to learn all the characters. Now I’ve played with characters i’d normally avoid in arcade/ladder/vs fights. It’s also the best way to earn money/mk points to spend in the krypt. Gathering money/mk points in arcade money is slowwww and annoying. It’s also good to know that Boon and his crew has spent so much time getting the Story Mode right. New players will get to know everybody on the cast. How they play and what’s their story.

BTW - fighting the cat with four arms :slight_smile: isn’t as bad as his art. Dude is tough as nails and well animated.

Is anybody out there playing on a TE? If so, what button layout are you using?
Default seems decent, but the block feels a little odd.
Then again, I haven’t used a button for block since UMK3 came out.

I think Baraka is pretty neat. Great combo’s and some pretty good damage.
