I’m gonna wait until release day to get my hands on this game. There are a few games I want to trade-in to bring down the value a little bit.

As anyone with an early copy tried out Stryker and Ermac? How good are they?

During casuals I was bitching that the wrong specials were coming out in my combos constantly… Friend pointed out that negative edge is the game. The window that these inputs are recognized is waaaaaaaaay too long. Anyone else having an issue with this? It’s driving me nuts and something I hope they will patch.

Is it me, or do the corners look really odd? It’s like the camera pans too far over, making it look like there’s more space to move than there really is. Looks like you’re hitting an invisible wall.

I haven’t touched Ermac but Stryker is freaking brutal. He is like a freakish hybrid of a rushdown character and a zoner, with neither of the strengths. He has two moves to get in your face, and two (three if want to count a variant) types of projectiles that can work as anti-air or just on the ground.

The only problem I see with Stryker is he seems really slow with his basic attacks.

I’ve been playing Jax. He has down, forward moves on both Front Punch and Back Punch. For instance… if you press Forward BP, Forward BP, QCF FP you will get the superman punch instead of his grab. You have to throw in a slight delay, which feels awkward, before the special if you want the right one to come out. Delay it slightly too much and you are screwed. Sure this isn’t an issue with every character, but it sucks with Jax. I don’t get how anyone could like this.

And since I’m bitching… Sub-Zero’s ice clone is too powerful. I fee like I have to take up a second character. Sucks getting pinned behind that shit with Jax lol

Thanks for the rundown. I plan on maining him along with Ermac and Sub-Zero. I wanna know what to work on once I hit practice mode.

On the negative edge thing… Do this with Jax:

Forward BP, Forward BP, Back FP, and then just do a quarter circle backwards (+ FP is optional).

Instead of getting the uppercut portion of the target combo the command grab will come out. I don’t like this at all.

Go into training mode and turn on hitboxes and try to recreate it, if you get a chance? The uppercut whiff.

Dash block that shit. It takes practice, but its really effective. Just input a dash and quickly cancel it with block and you’ll just bump into the ice and it’ll pop.
