Anyways I hope To see you guys soon

Good shit Ramy, nice to hear you made it into a damn good uni, and you’re having fun.

Congratulations on Ottawa bud. It’s a fantastic school from what I hear (my cousin went there and loved it) and you should get a great experience both academically and otherwise.

MIRACLE BLADES > EVERYTHING

FYI In canada, if you are bilingual and able to speak fluent french and English, you have a better chance of getting a job over someone who can only speak 1 language. Ottawa, and Glendon are the only 2 Bilingual university in Ontario. Every course is offered in French and/or English. That way when you grow up, you can say that you are fluent in both languages which will help you get a better job.

Second Reason is Ottawa U is 2 min away from Hull which means you can when your 18. For most people who enter uni, they are either 17 or 18.

Anyways what did everyone do at their Frosh (other then the basics)

Good thing your learning very non obvious things in your wonderful Uni rammy. I had no idea that knowing more than 1 language, especially canadas second language, could land me a better job and give me more options.

… did any of u know that?

that was to state why Ottawa U is better. you know like in a debate when you want to prove your side you give facts that will help you win.

all i know is waterloo is rating number 1 overall as best university in canada in maclean . =p

is it #1 in Canada? I thoght it was Ryerson or Magill

Overall? I find that hard to believe. If it was in math or comp sci I could understand but overall that’s ridiculous.

Ramy’s point is valid. When you have a Uni that offers every course bilingually it gives its students a differentiation from the rest of the schools. Ramy, take advantage of this asset if at all possible. One would figure they have a basics of french or partial immersion program you can use electives on. It’d be a great asset.

All my courses are bilingual. Which means all my lectures are In English but I can choose to right my essays in french. And the Books can be found in both french and English.

I am also doing a minor in int’l studies, so soon Im gonna start learning spanish and Japeneese. So hopefully by the time Im done University, I would be able to read and write in 5 different languages

Anyways I wish the best for all. I hope every one is enjoying their university time. Good luck to everyone and I hope to see everyone anytime soon. you guys can come up to ottawa and crash at my house whenever, just tell me when. I don’t live on res, I live on my own so it wouldn’t be a problem. Good luck to you all and I hope to see you guys when I return to Sauga

You Don’t say??

talk pas shit!!

Find me on MSN when you start that course. I’m curious to know how you find the relatively related languages of Spanish and French in comparison to something completely different like Japanese.
