I dunno, they’re both different types of attacks, but Rasengan seems to be more powerful.
Like that time at the water towers… when Sasuke realizes the amount of damage Rasengan did, his expression is priceless.

4th >>> kakashi -> ragsengan > chidori
and yes, the power levels seem to be on different scales but I wonder if ragsengan can go through the sand shield like the chidori can. and Sasughey can only put out chidori twice a day, where naruto can ragsengan all day everyday.
ragsengan is much more versatile than the chidori, you can’t fucking win a ramen contest with chidori!

Thats just because sasuke is way stronger than naruto at that point. The actual attack isnt as good though I dont think. If you saw the 4th doing a rasengan vs sasuke… sasuke would explode and u would think rasengan is the best.

the ONLY time in the entire series where chidori looks like it could even come close to competing with rasengan is when sasuke did it with curse seal lvl 2 and it was black. that shit looked fucking badass @_@

ok, I only read this page, so if some of this stuff has already been gone over, I apologize, this is just my two cents worth
rasengan is stronger than chidouri, Jiraiya even said so (while it can be taken he just said that to perk Naruto’s interest, also, it took the 4th three years to master it, and the 4th was a genius ninja, feared by everyone, so yeah, take that into consideration), and I don’t know why you guys are saying Kakashi could get owned by Naruto and Sasuke, are you forgetting he’s the son of White Fang, who was on par with the three legendary Sannin, that’s some hardcore shit. Also, Chidouri and Rasengan are both based upon chakra control and manipulation, just because Kakashi’s regular one doesn’t look as bad ass as Sasuke’s level 2 seal one, doesn’t mean it’s that far off in power. Remember, Kakashi is the strongest Jounin in Konoha, he hasn’t trained much recently (he keeps admitting he should be stronger), so he’s not as strong as he should be, but he’s still bad ass. I’m sure he’d beat both of them on the principle of outsmarting them and just making them look stupid. Chidouri can easily be stopped as it’s a thrust, and relies entirely on speed, also, as the 4th said, it leaves you vulnerable as you can’t see, I’m sure Kakashi could expose that. Another thing, Naruto’s rasengan is still done with two hands, ie. the kage bunshin replica, while Jiraiya does it with one, so it’s still not as strong as it could be. Naruto also only unlocked one of the tails of the nine tails, and apparently, Jiraiya has seen all nine unleashed before, so yeah, he’s going to own the shit out of Sasuke.

ps. naruto CAN do the rasengan with 1 hand. in naruto vs sasuke he did it with 1 hand when his other arm was fucking merced up. one could argue that “it was only because of the fox” but rasengan isnt about raw power, its more about control than anything.
and with regards to naruto or sasuke fighting kakashi:
naruto’s ssj mode would own kakashi, i think thats a given. when hes even in ssj1 the fox’s chakra thinks for itself and would not only protect naruto perfectly, it would also bust out some serious shit to fuck kakashi up. sure kakashi knows a billion jutsu and is rediculously smart, but i seriously doubt hell be able to do anything other than run. and since naruto can beat kakashi, this means sasuke would be able to own kakashi aswell, since sasuke > naruto.
IMO, i think its fucking stupid that these 2 could beat “the best jounin in konoha” but after what ive seen, i dont think theres any chance kakashi’s wits or jutsu knowhow would save him =/
