I got this insane offer from this guy I sorta work for. He owns a computer company. Its small but its growing really fast. He has to go out of town for 3 months for some training hes doing and cant run his company while hes gone, since his training is 10 hours a day paid. Ive been kinda working for him and helping him out for free for at least a year now and I’m the moderator on his website which is pretty new. So he really trusts me with things in his company. So basicly I got offered to run his company for 3 months. Its a great oportunity for me because I’m gonna be starting my own business later on and this will let me learn a lot of things and it will help me pick more specific courses in college once I figure out what exactly I lack in and what I need to learn more of.
So basicly he is having his business line forwarded to my cell phone for 3 months. I get calls from people that need at home service to fix their computer and stuff then I send out a tech that works for the company if I cant manage to do it myself or im busy. His company also does home theatre setup and all that good stuff.
I also have a computer store that I can bring broken computers to and work there free of charge and get help from the more experienced techs that work in the computer store. Its the one in meadowvale TC. Thats the place I can get you a great deal for a computer Matt. Just make sure you are paying by cash and its all good ;).
Anyways, let me know your budget and I’ll talk to the guy within a week or 2 for you and get things figured out. I might be able to do it this week since im not gonna be very busy. So yea lemme know.
Also lessard since you have a van I’d like to ask if you would wanna do some work for me one I start this. Often the techs are busy with their full time jobs and I might be busy as well. I have a feeling I’m gonna have a hard time trying to run an already developed company on my own. So I was told im allowed to hire someone part time to work for me aside from the people that will already be doing it. I know you know enough about computers to handle some simple shit that retards cant figure out themselves and as long as you can network comps, remove viruses and spyware, set up some hardware such as cd/dvd drives/burners or hard drives and what not, your all set. If theres something you dont know or you would like to touch up on I’d gladly bring you to the computer store im going to be doing the repair work at and we can go over some stuff.
If you do wanna do this though I really need to depend on you because if I do a good job this guy wants me as his partner. Which would be absolutely amazing for me since I wouldnt have to go through the bullshit start up stages of starting your own company. Me and the owner of the other company could make much more money together than running 2 businesses and being locked down with so much work. So yea I really want to make this work.
If anyone else on here that has transportation knows a little about computers I can do my best to get you out there too. You will be charging 30 bucks an hour to the customer and 8 dollars of that 30 will go to the company (aka me for 3 months). So the pay is 22 bucks an hour. We also have flat rates for formatting a computer and virus removal and what not. Which I’ll discuss with anyone willing to work for me part time.
anyways yea I’m actually going out to learn a few things right now. I’m giong to a home theatre installation and just learning how they do everything. I wont be doing any of the home theatre work but I have to go and watch the people most of the time. Make sure all the cords are tied up neat and tidy at the back and that the techs are nice to the customers. Which I might ask you people that want some part time work to do as well, but not likely.
Hopefully this won’t be too much of a bother, but I wanted to learn about computers. So if I was able to come just to watch and learn then I’d be greatful. If not then that’s understandable. :tup:

Yo thx a lot poeta, however there are too many things i can see that wont work out for me, for instance once my parents get back, i no longer have my car for whatever i want, instead its for what my parents aprove of, since its their car, and there is no way in hell that they will let me do this. Also, my area of “extended interest” in computers is software based, my hardware knowledge is very limited, i have installed a cd drive, a hard drive, ram and what not, but thats about it. However, if u ever do need someone to go to a house and fix some shit up, u can call me and ask, chances are i could prob do it, but their is no way u can depend on me 24/7 bro. That and i have the job at Rogers. But thanks a fucking shitload for the oppurtunity, if i was livin alone, id fuckin jump over this like a fat kid on candy 
How old do you have to be to work at Rogers…I was thinking of getting a job at one on Thomas Street since I could walk there. 
technically is 16, but they really wont hire unless ur 17. Uhh, if u get an application, i would suggest being able to close at LEAST twice a week, closing is at 12:00. If they dont see that u can close 2 or more times, they’ll just throw it out. And they dont really even look at applications. whoever u talk to, they have to fill out a sheet after u leave rating ur appearance, or pride in it, eye contact, comments, shit like that. if the person that u talked to approves, ull prob get an interview.
