Dude I understand why your pissed off and you said in your post you want to clear everything up. So here is how you do it.
Regardless of what you want, you clearly stated that the ride up north would be free of charge to the people in your van. That could have been a COMPLETE missunderstanding… somehow, but it was what was going through everyones head. Which is why everyone figured the gas prices would be about the same. So I say just get what you can out of the people in your van for gas and leave it at that. Make up for it by charging for rides to other random places if you have to. I dont really think its a good idea for me to hand back everyone money, try to find my recipts if I even have them anymore, and then add everything up and split it 8 ways. You might be getting a little screwed this time in money, but 1 way or another people are getting screwed because of the missunderstanding. Like I said, make up for it by driving people places like u do at your casuals from time to time.
About the chips and pop thing:
In all fairness lessard, you did deserve 100% to have your snacks and drinks untouched for youself especially after doing what you did for us, which was a really nice thing to do. You gotta remember though, that everyone was basicly wasted off their ass or high or on shrooms for 95% of the weekend. People do stupid things. To think that eating someone elses food was the dumbest thing people did, I’d say that was the smallest thing we had to worry about when having 8 wasted people at a cottage.
The part about you comming to james’ house and asking everyone to come to your house:
I dont really see how this has anything to do with what we are talking about. I think it had something to do with you doing us favours and stuff. That time when you came to james’ and told us all to reach, I think everyone wanted to go. I think what people are trying to say is, when you hold a get together at your house, its not really a favour. Its a really nice thing and the highlight of my week almost every week, but I dont consider it a favour. To me a favour is doing something you dont really want to do and going out of your way to help someone else out. Hosting casuals is a big part of your own entertainment as well.
I’m not saying I dont appreciate the fact that you go through so much work to hold them, and I hope you keep doing it cuz honestly, they kick ass and without them weekends would suck, but I dont think its really appropriate to use that as leverage when talking about favours directed towards your friends. If you only holding casuals to do us favours for giving us a place to go, your doing it for the wrong reason. We all do enjoy them a lot though, of course.
I think in the end of all this bullshit to get it resolved, just get the money you can from the people in your van, and deal with that. Sometimes things dont work out perfectly man. Not to mention, you honestly didnt explain it well at all. Too much money was exchanged randomly to give it all back to people and it will be even more of a mess to work it all out from scratch again. Just be more clear next time on what you want to do.
Also you mentioned, AGAIN, in your last post that you were wondering if bry paid you or not. He didnt pay you, and will not pay you anything. Bry was a guy who pitched for the gas in my car dude. Even though he got a ride back with you, he paid in full towards my gas. He switched spots with gerjay to let gerjay come home early, because gerjay wanted to come back a lot more than bry it seemed. So you should be looking to get 25% from ex matt, 25% from james and 25% from gerjay. Not 25% from ex matt and james and then 12.5% from gerjay and 12.5% from bry. Like I said, think of it like bry didnt exist in your car. He was simply taking gerjays spot after paying for the gas in my car. Which Gerjay did not pay, because he is supposed to pay you.
I hope this post cleared some things up, and I hope your not ultra pissed anymore because I know how frustrating things can be when you do something like drive people around and you dont get comped for it. All I can say is it happens, and it happens a lot. Its not a big deal because people tend to do favours for you when you dont cry about doing small things for them. I drive CQ all over the place just because we work together and were like always chilling and shit right, and he randomly spots me loot when I need it, buys me beer sometimes, all that good shit. It comes around man, dont worry about that.
