I was blamed for having my coat/cd player stolen. I know how you feel bud. But its not as bad as what happened to you, but still, getting blamed for something completely out of your power is trash.
OK look I don’t want to be devil’s advocate here but they are completely different things. I can completely see his parents perspective and I’ll tell you why:
A) He didn’t have permission to have the party to begin with. Now, I’ll give Matt the benefit of the doubt and say he did have permission which brings me to…
B) He should have had better control over the people that were attending. It was clearly established by Matt and others as we read about his brother’s unfortunate situation that they would have come at his party and had the place staked out. Now I know that parties can get out of control and you may not know everyone but I’ve thrown more than my fair share of parties in my time and I’ve always had a lock down on the invites. I don’t do general invites or flyers or any of that other shit and the one party I’ve ever had that started to get stupid I had every “big” friend I knew personally throw every person I didn’t know out on their ass.
C) The front door was unlocked. I don’t think I even need to go into this any further.
So like I said, he did have control over the situation. In fact he had multiple points where he had control over the situation and it wasn’t followed through. Hindsight is 20/20 and all but his parents are in the right here. They’re not just thinking of the invasion, I’m sure the predominant thoughts in their head was that their youngest son could be dead. That’s a lot to take in.
On a related note, I’ve had the following items stolen over the years:
2 Jackets
2 Wallets
1 Discman
1 Cell Phone
Of the above items, I never thought any of them were my fault but looking back a few of them really could have been avoided and my parents (at the time) were right to say it was my fault. Oddly enough, my 1st jacket was stolen because I won a Tekken 3 tournament over back to back lunch periods and didn’t go back to my caf table between periods when my friends had all gone to class. Stupid point.
I guarantee you 100% that if you told her instantly what had happend and you played it out to be a big deal (which it was) then she wouldnt have been mad and more on the comforting side for you. Since you left it for over a week to tell her… no fucking shit she was mad lol. We all told you it was stupid to not tell her. Yes I know that most of us dont know ur mom or dad, but any parent would get furious not telling them while they are away that someone broke in and tried to kill your brother… thats kind of a big deal in my eyes.

1)My parents were on their vacation, my dad’s stress levels were at an all time high, and ALL 3 OF US agreed not to say shit till they got back.
2)I had ppl comming up to the cottage, that woulda been canceled
3)My dad knew as soon as he got back, he said he would tell her, he knew the monday after, 5 days later. So how is it my responsibility to tell her when my dad tells me to keep my mouth shut, cuz only he can really deal with her?

IIRC; you yourself said that the first thing you thought was that they were at your party and that they staked your place. In fact, you further stated that you freaked out thinking your GC stuff was stolen only to find it later. Fact of the matter is you were of the same thinking that I proposed in my prior post so it’s not like you had 100% control over your party anyway.

So yeah, I reach Skybox to see Shu and Hayvren playing MvC2. Shu loses to random scrub and leaves. So I OCV the scrub with Cable and then Hayvren commences the horrible beatdown with Team Scrub. We switch to CvS2 because he feels sorry for me and I bring the beatdown back to him including the match never to be spoken of and a Chun Li OCV.

So we pick up Gerjay because he’s a lazy ass fuck who won’t come to Skybox when I tell him to. Then the mission starts as we try to find an M&M Meat Shop and do a complete circle of Erin Mills chasing down one location after another that either doesn’t exist or has been mysteriously replaced (Mr. Sub? Hmm…). The circle actually brings me right back to EMTC and I have a reason to get Shu (he asked for a ride when I was in Meadowvale and I wasn’t sure if I’d be back) and we’re good to go.
Hayvren discusses the greatness of his “special marinade” which is essentially drenching meat in Jack Daniels (was it JD? I can’t remember now). Gerjay and I spend time thinking over buying burgers that have Bacon and Mozzerella blended in.
WHAT… THE… FUCK?
They cost DOUBLE what the regular 1/4 pound burger does so we take a pass. Shu’s amazing intelligence shines through once again as he can’t wrap his brain around why he can’t buy a seventh bag of chips when it’s 3/$5.00. The Russian cashier was cute but I make no move because hitting on grocery store clerks who’s age isn’t established can be all kinds of bad.
We reach James, grab Anant and come back and the night was really fun. I end up cooking for most of the evening after Team White Boyz V2 cook and then take a walk (BASTARDS!). I put all of Anant’s 24 hot dogs on the grill at once (HOLD THAT SHIT!) and then burn them horribly while I ventured inside to find cheese.
SIDE NOTE: How does James manage to have every condiment you can think of and nuff random shit in his fridge (two kinds of Cream Cheese?) but no processed or block cheese? TIGHT!
HEADS UP BATTLE FOR $10 - Justin vs Yuhin
So Yuhin shows and we both knew we were going to face off at some point tonight so I challenge him to a Heads Up Match for $10. Yuhin and I are completely contrasting in styles as I like aggression while he’s more of an “I’m going to kill you” style. His over the top betting took me by surprise at first and I go down to 1/2 stack but make the comeback for a lead. We go back and forth for a while until I go all in with two pair J9 and he’s over me two pair A9 for the win. GGPO!
SIDE NOTE: Is anyone interested in a Heads Up Tournament? $5 buy in, top 2 get paid 70/30. I’d like to get 16 players if possible though 8 wouldn’t be bad either.
Anyway we go into the main poker games and I busted out first (I don’t know the last time I busted first but I think I was on tilt after getting smacked Heads Up vs Yuhin). Yuhin eliminates me with a Set of 9’s over my two pair and that’s that. I deal the rest of the night because no one times blinds or deals that great. Second game I settle down and play my usual game. Basically I played any hand that Yuhin wasn’t on and took it down. Then Yuhin goes out vs Gerjay and I open my game up taking the chip lead.
KK vs AA - Gerjay can cry about that one.
So anyway, we get the moment that nearly set my temper going as it’s 3 way with me, Bryan and Bundy. Bry goes out and it’s me and Bundy. I’ve got J6 off. Flop comes 5S JD 6S so I’ve flopped top two. I check and Bundy bets out 300. No big thing and I just call. Turn comes 7S. Now here’s where I fuck up. I’ve got top two and the flush draw. I check again, which was just stupid. Bundy bets into me for another 500 in chips and I call. River comes 5D. I bet out 500 in chips fearing he’s made his flush and he raises me all in. I gave it some thought and figured he had top pair because Bundy always bets out on top pair without fail. I fear the flush but figure I’ll risk it and call. He doesn’t have the flush. HE’S GOT A SET OF FIVES! He was on the same flush draw as me (his QS was dominating anyway) and played with his low pair to catch. I fucking lost it right there and then. I threw my cards down and basically slammed the table.
SIDE NOTE: James I’m very sorry for my actions. I never meant to disrespect you or your home that way. I just had a lapse of anger. Again, I’m sorry about that one.
I walk away from the table down to 600 in chips of a possible 6000. I’m pretty pissed but I don’t go on tilt thank God. Next hand I land AQ and all in. No takers and I make 1/2 my stack (blinds are 150/300 by this point). I all in J10 suited and no takers so I’ve doubled up my shit stack. I take one more hand off an all in after the flop and then the nutty hand. I get AQ again and all in after calling the 300 blinds. Bryan calls and Bundy calls. There’s about 5000 in the pot combined.
Me: AQ
Bryan: A7
Bundy: A5
By some act of God, my domination holds up the whole way and I make my Queen on the river to boot. Bundy’s done, Bryan’s crippled and I manage to dominate from being down to 600 in chips not even 10 minutes earlier. Bryan asks to split and I needed to get home so I hand him his entry + $5 and it breaks me even. Nutty games.

That’s actually a move straight out of Rounders. I had Rockets (it should be noted Yuhin dealt me rockets three times last night) and just kept checking into you and calling. I knew my set would hold up but I couldn’t contain my evil smile. Watching you fold against my check was beyond hilarious.
