Thanks to everyone that came over a battled yesterday. Sorry about having to leave the way I did during the finals. I was punished properly by missing the best matches of the night. Funny how a vf5 champion beat everyone down in their own game much the same way that Justin did to the MK kids a few months back. (Youtube Fuudo vf5) Aparently VF>SF>MK.

Evo was highly enjoyable and finals were incredibly hype, even if the guy I was pulling for got stuck at 3rd. Marvel’s finals went as anticipated with the Phoenix factor (although seeing PR Rog’s Dante fight against her was inspirational). Had some interesting moments during pools with Chexr, won some good matches in MK on the stream, got dominated in Marvel, watched MN win a team money match with Cali, saw Focus Fire do it big, found SF X Tekken to be a good game, got a hat signed by the 3 kings, helped record some serious matches between Latif and Poongko, met Yipes, made some friends, made an enemy, ate some amazing food, ate some amazingly bad food, had some drinks, and played a lot of casuals.

A good time overall.

Also, I’m kicking myself for not going and getting something signed. There is an intricate plan in the works for next year’s evo. It involves trickery, crayons, and a fight stick cover. That is all.

thanks for the info tones. so strange to hear that a store is hosting matches instead of playing in somebody’s dingy basement (including mine). with the store running games, i guess late night sessions don’t happen?

baka: where’s your place at? i’ve got a ps3 stick and can only play mvc or tekken, i assume you guys don’t play tekken, would you mvc on ps3?

Hey, everyone, I’m spamming the Midwest region a little bit and trying to get hype for a tourny we’re throwing in a couple months:

This is a continuation of the Extravaganza major. It’s been traditionally a Tekken event, but I’m trying to make it bigger and badder and get all the 2d kids out. I feel like I know a lot of folks around the Midwest, so feel free to ask around if you’re curious. Seeing that we’re equidistant from a few major cities, there’s no reason we can’t get this thing huge, especially with how cheap everything is here. Anyway, I’m out, promise I won’t spam y’all anymore, or maybe just once more when we hit September. :slight_smile:

That’d be awesome, since I go to school not too far from the Iowa border. Too bad its on the complete opposite corner of Iowa. 6-hour drive is a bit much for a 1-day tournament.
