OFFTOPIC. Who has an LCD that doesn’t lag? I am lookin into buying an LCD tv and am really back and forth on Plasma VS LCD because I am told a LG 600hz plasma won’t lag. The contender is an LG 120hz LCD. What do you guys have, brand, refresh rate, etc… I know CRTs are great, but I wanna play on an HD HD HD tv, not my 480 “HD” crt.
I believe that LCD TVs aren’t usually as good for SF as plasma. The reason you hear LCD thrown around a bunch is because most of the computer monitors that don’t lag are LCD monitors. When I got my HDTV, I went with a plasma (42" Panasonic Viera) partially because I found some posts on SRK saying that other people with Vieras had a good experience. Mine does a good job, although it still probably lags about a frame or so (basically not noticable, but when you switch back and forth from a lagless screen you can tell a slight difference).
On a side note, one thing I didn’t know about plasma TVs until I bought it is that you can’t ever lay them down flat - they have to remain upright at all times. Otherwise the plasma can leak out and destroy your screen.
So right now we have Macrobeast helping run the Tetris Attack side tournament. Macro I just PM’ed you asking about some rules. Looks like WI wants to do an MvC2 side tournament. If there are any other games that one of you would like to run as a side tournament, please let me know.

You better steal one of those HD digital signage monitors that the of U of M uses. I played on one of them and it felt like a CRT, I’m dead serious. But we were playing on 360 too.
Games and go at the Rosedale mall will be having casuals at 6. Also if you guys are in town I would be more than willing to show you around town or hold a casuals at my place after Games and Go closes. Feel free to PM me about it if you have any questions.

I highly doubt Marn and JWong want to sit around for hours on end playing casuals during their only night in the Twin Cities.
I’m sure they want to have a good time, which could be a couple of options.
Play some money matches, or
go out for good food and drinks and perhaps meet some Minnesota females.

Actually, on Thursday, casuals is at the Maplewood Games N Go location, not the Rosedale one (unless something’s different this week than normal).
