Not picking Chris is probably #1 in that department. 
Honestly though, I seem to have more success with being able to call missiles while throwing flame grenades to try and cover the space buster comes in at than I have with running beams against Zero.
Well Missiles get stuffed by the opposing side if they have a beam as well. Just have to figure out when is a good time to call and cover, but since zero buster goes through everything except grenade super itās tough.

And I swear Iāve been nullifying lvl 3 buster with airborne flame grenades the same way you can cancel out Nem rockets and other 45 degree projectiles. Canāt test it out to make sure right now but Iām fairly certain it works. That, or Iām just being overly hopeful.
Flame grenades do trade but you have to get it out and itās risky unless youāre full screen, and if zero has a beam on top then you lose the potential trade.
Soā¦this is the set that I played against Darchon25 a few weeks ago. I lost 5-0; mainly due to stupid mistakes and false reads. However, we actually played longer than this and it wound up being 10-4.
I got third place at philly bar battles this past saturday. Lots of ny killers were there and eventually I hit a wall with ray ray but overall Iām content with my performance seeing how Iāve mostly been grinding ultra lately. I was lucky to have four matches on stream so I can point out what didnt work and exactly where things fell apart. Long story short I gotta be extremely careful with assist calls.

Im a newb when it comes to Chris, but I definitely learned the importance of having flame grenades out at all times from warching your matches. Ill watch the rest of them later. Also, really sick air-to-air with Chris when you did jM jH Magnumā¦definitely gotta remember that one! Good stuff dude! 
Yo chris mother effin D good shit!!! SUPER LATE RESPONSE!!! Been working alot and i saw the info you dropped for my matches huge thanks on that. Thinking about picking up Zero and subbing some sort of chris team. I was thinking about picking up the team you are currently rockin or at least giving it a go. Seems pretty efficient imo other than some obvious holes chris just cant cover all that well. Also played Yahiko (Team Mexicoās Chris player) at Evo and that dudes chris is pretty real~~~

Sad to say but Iām also subbing Chris out for a top tier (Vergil), the bad matchups in neutral are too stressful to fight and every time zero floats over a grenade I die inside. Iām still keeping Chris around for last resort or big bodies that lose to keepaway.
Oh and off topic but Oso I saw your UNIEL Chaos combo vid, great work. Kinda funny how weāre both playing that character.

Iāve been interested in playing Chris for a while now, but Iāve just recently putting effort into a couple of side teams with Chris. Iām playing Chris/Dante/Strider and Chris/MODOK/Strider. Iām still trying to figure out Chrisās neutral, but I really love the combo routes he offers. I made a couple short combo videos with Chris/MODOK/Strider. I havenāt looked at the Chris threads much, but hopefully thereās something new there (jump magnum used after grenade hyper maybe?), or someone could suggest optimizations.
