Inafune didn’t want to make a Megaman sequel? Isn’t one of the reasons he left is because he couldn’t make a Megaman sequel? Not sure how that applies at all.

He only created the character Mega Man, not the game.
People like to downplay Inafune’s involvement because he wasn’t the triple OG creator for whatever reason like that matters. He produced a large amount of the later Megaman series, including Legends, Battle Network, Star Force, Zero, and ZX. He wanted Legends 3 and he probably knew it was going to get canceled before he got bounced.
Akira Kitamura, the original creator, was involved with just 2 Megaman games yet people want to use him to discredit Inafune like he didn’t really do shit for Megaman. Inafune stepped up and helped with Megaman 3 when another producer had issues taking over after Akira left. He was involved with X and either produced, designed for, or wrote for various games in that series. He created Zero.
Yea some of the business shit he does is shitty but lets not pretend Keiji wasn’t a big influence in Megaman’s history.
No one is pretending. He created Mega Man. If not for him, we wouldn’t have such an icon on our hands.
But the reasoning for why he was fired is making more and more sense, given the reputation of his kickstarter in the past 2 years. Who knows what kind of fires he started over at Capcom working as long as he did, but it does seem in positive intent that his fire was for the best. That’s something people pretend didn’t happen.
I heard he left.
Mighty No. 9 delayed until 2016…oh well.
At least Miku is coming out in September.
