At mwc, Rex lost to Antwan in winner’s finals, then Marn in loser’s finals. Humbag, I dunno.
I lost to Marn in first round of winners.
Then I lost to Marn again in the losers semis to get 4th place.

Humbag - Needed to step it up, nervous on stage? Frankly, SoMuchDamage isn’t that good, you could have won, I’ve seen you play a lot better. Don’t drop the ultra.
Josh - Awesome match, comeback was hype as shit! You could have won for sure, it was sooo close and so, so hype. Keep pushing that Seth and you’ll be national, no joke.
AKA - I dunno man, you should have won that, I don’t think he really knew what to do against your Akuma, just keep your confidence up, pull out those mixups, what he gon’ do?
Floe - Save us from total embarrassment as a region, good shit. Sick combo to finish. Honestly I knew you were good in marvel and had respect for 4, you proved it here. You could’ve beat Gootecks too.
Overall, midwest looked like shit up there, some of it was due to previous circumstances, specifically Antwan getting on the team and then getting banned because he’s a grimy fuck, Rex not trying to get on the team because he hadn’t yet decided to ignore common sense, and Perfect Sin getting on the team despite not being a real Midwesterner, and then turning out to be an actual negative for the team.
Even with all that though, we could have had a better showing. All of the matches except the first were winnable, if not easily. I’m not saying we had good odds of winning, socal was pretty strong overall, although they got peaced out pretty hard by the wildcard team.
The point of this isn’t to rag on you guys. I’m a shit player who would’ve done worse than anyone except PS probably. The point is, we gotta step our shit up as a region if we don’t want to look like fools again next year. This 5v5 was one of the most hype events at evo and is pretty sure to return. Not just the guys who were on the team, everyone else gotta make it happen too, either to get on the team yourself or at least help prep everyone who is.
Yeah we’re spread out, and some scenes are almost too small to be relevant. Shit, though, a guy from puerto rico who no one had ever heard of came and took top 8 in sf4 singles. How? The crew there, which appears to be pretty small, made a big effort to train the guy who was going, everyone learned a few characters so he’d have well-rounded matchup experience, etc. Obviously everyone wants to get better personally, but if you help out your fellow players they will help you improve as well. It’s a cycle that builds on itself.
i know… it sucked… i was repping MW hard and then we damn near get swept… thank god for Floe… granted he lost, he also fed us one of the best moments at the event (u ever focus block an EX projectile and then pull an ultra?)… i hope we do better at other events throughout the rest of the year… but i’m sure our players (not including perfect sim) gave it our all… my boy Humbag was cool as hell for hangin with me at the VIP party, im positive we’ll get our shit powered up soon enough… and next year imma tryout for the team so there’s whatever help i can offer…

That Ultra was retarded that fucked up. I was gonna do PPKKK for the juggle but for some reason KKKKK came out causing me to go under. Part of it was nerves as well as the TV had noticeable lag that messed with my head.
And to the people going “embarrassing”, get your ass on that fucking stage and try to play 100% on a laggy tv.
