Just off the top of my head. Might even be a few more than that. If we go we’re thinking about just taking a train though. Still calculating expenses lol.

That’s a good list. Hope to see you all there.

Same here. Hope all of us can make it. lol.

Quick question since I’m uneducated about PS3’s outside of when I play on them at tourneys. The wireless dongles are being allowed, so how do they know which pad to synch with? If I had to guess you press a synch button on the dongle itself and then right after press the synch button on the pad? I’m only worried about one person using the fight pad interfering with another person who’s using a fight pad.

I dont think there has ever been issues with wireless dongles. I think they only are synced with one controller?

But yeah, it is the wireless controllers that cause the biggest problems cause even after you unplug the power cable and turn it off it is still synced with that system and PS3 controllers turn on with the slightest touch of the PS button. Ive had 3 tournament matches of mine interrupted because of wireless. Its not fun.

I would like that. It will help the Michigan Crews (West and East) to prove themselves without trying to break us up.

Keits I’ma gonna have to change my registration from windjammers to ST. I haven’t played it since seasons’ beatings, so I’d rather enter a game that I’m still actively playing.

Fightpads that use the included dongles are synced by turning the controller ON after you plug in the dongle. pressing the home button doesn’t do anything for syncing, and once the dongle is out of the PS3, the fightpads are safe since they’re not actually connected the PS3 themselves…but connected to the PS3 ONLY through the dongle. Hope that helps, I’ve said dongle way too many times in this post.

Ok so just make sure that no one else is around plugging in a dongle (that’s a fun word) at the same time it sounds like. Thanks for the info.

I don’t even know if that’s the case. I think dongles are calibrated to the controller themselves, not anything else. How else could you have four dongles plugged into the same system and not get them all mixed up? My thought is that it’s like a garage door opener - dongle calibrated to one controller so when you press your home button it doesn’t open every garage on the block.

Maybe there’s a one-time calibration? Which if there is I will have to do because I’m buying a PS3 fightpad specifically for this event.

Oh ok that’s even better then.

Yeah dongle controllers dont seem to cause issues. I’ll need all the staff’s eyes out making sure other wireless controllers are not in the building though.

Are dualshock3 controllers allowed? can we bring our own?

Wireless controllers are not allowed. If you use a dualshock3, it must be plugged in via USB cable AT ALL TIMES when using it, and you turn it off in the system menu the moment you unplug it. Afterward, you must go to the syncing station and sync your controller to the PS3 there. If your controller is found to have paused any matches in progress at the event, you will be forced to either hand in your controller to the staff until the event is over (or you are leaving), or leave the event. Do not be that guy that causes problems with your wireless controller.

I think we need to make a fighting game community public service announcement about wireless controllers. In fact, someone bring some cameras, we’re doing this shit at MWC. I’m talking star wipes and everything.

I am pleased to announce that AreaXIII (and by extension, DeadXIII) are now sponsoring MWC by lending us a boat load of CRT televisions! Huge thanks to DeadXIII, everyone, and if you are going to be free the night of Thursday May 6th and have a car, I could use a hand lugging those TVs over to the venue.

Everyone, please still try to bring TVs and systems from home. We will need as many as possible, and have room for up to 44 in the ballroom. The more extra we have, the more casuals we can get going.

I’m gonna sound like a giddy school girl for saying this, but AIEEEEE!! I’m so fucking hype for this event! Who cares that I’m gonna bust out first round, this shit is gonna be so cool.

Doctor, I’m totally down for helping with a PSA video. If we have high enough production quality (see: MORE STARWIPES) maybe it’ll be a mandatory watch pregame for future tourneys!

Not sure if I posted before, but I’m not on the prereg lists, so…

I’m in there for GGXX?C, SSFIV, MotW, SPFHD, WJ, mystery game, maybe STHD, and maybe BF. Em Double-U Ceeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

this is exactly why this needs to happen
