Last time I was there they had MvC2, 2 CvS2 (yet one of them was out of order), Marvel Super Heroes, DOA2(wtf), Tekken 5 DR, SC3 A.E., SvC Chaos (haha).
I was there Thursday night. Their 3S machine is working again. They do not have ST, to my knowledge.
Did u play on the 3s machine? Since they moved the cab behind the stairs I’ve visited 3-4 times. Always, both sided were fucked up.
I did, and it seemed fine to me. I was on the left and the people I was there with were on the right.
I was at the East Lansing Pete’s tonight, and I noticed something weird. When I was playing CvS2, one guy watched me for a while. Later, a couple of other guys, whom I’ve seen in there before and played a few times, also stood there and watched. Nobody ever challenged or even approached the machine while I was there. At first, I didn’t pay it any mind, but as I was leaving, I noticed the two guys were playing on the machine.
I don’t know why they didn’t want to play me, but it seems kind of lame. Were they worried I would beat them? Did they just want to play against each other as friends? PS2s are cheap and used copies of CvS2 aren’t hard to come by, so it seems weird to me for people to bring quarters to an arcade if they’re going to avoid playing against strangers.
The EL scene isn’t exactly hopping. I figure players ought to take whatever competition they can get, so it mystifies me when people actively turn down the chance to play a wider variety of competitors than they usually do.
GoodMourning, what time were you at Petes (EL)? I was out there on Saturday night but didn’t see anyone playing so i left.

I was at AA petes last night, I played a bunch of 3s with my friends, no one else there was playing, there was two guys playing cvs2 I played someone short kid, seemed pretty young, worked there, he was alright, I was so out of practice I had to pick p groove because I kept trying to parry.

Everyone, needs to get everyone to go, I plan on going and bringing 3 or 4 people with me, for 3s mainly, but I’ll be down for CvS2 as well.
Oh yeah and the controlls for 3s work, but it was giving us a little trouble last weekend, hopefully if enough people are on the cabinet they’ll fix it right away if it takes a shit.
OR instead of trying to get them to switch 3s into a bigger cabinet have them try to get ST in that place. Shit, I would buy the fucking B-board if they fix the MSH cab and take MSH out.

Goodmourning and KOH are right, the 3s machine works now. I dropped by AA Petes earlier this week and for the most part the 3s cab is fine. The color is a bit faded. And, I don’t know if u guys had this same problem or not, but sometimes on the P1 side crouching attacks don’t come out. The P2 side gave me no problems whatsoever. Should be fine for casuals.
I might come out this Saturday, but don’t know for sure (got a couple finals on Monday). What time will people be there?
