Locking the tray arm would prevent it from coming off the tracks/gimble that it rides on. Whenever you move it it’s best to lock the tray arm, as you never know when those things are going to go. They don’t make scanners for durability anymore.
Ahh, I understand and I am sorry to say I did not lock it.
But I can assure you that it has not been knocked off of its tracks because I did scan and it showed no sign of screw ups.
this scanner was bought about a year and a half ago and is still in good working order, I just do not need it any more. I have one of those combo scanner/copy/printer deals. so a single scanner I do not need.

I’ve heard Nero is the best program to use. I can’t find it. I use Imesh…DL’ed it twice…both contained Trojans which I deleted immediately. I do not know how to use torrents, too complicated.

I am also selling the Scanner, Cannon its a 2001 modle I think, and Software included photoedit 2000.
Because the burner is still brand new, and I only used it twice. I just bought it last year I am selling it for 100 dollars or best offer. the burner its self is 160 dollars at Microcenter.
