Mario Kart DS is absolutely fantastic. Plays like the N64 one, but has a wireless online mode. There’s a bunch of old school tracks from the SNES, N64, GBA, and Cube versions of Mario Kart on there, in addition to the new additions, so there’s no shortage of those. It looks like you can pick the same character, finally, and everyone seems to have at least 2 cars to choose from.
I would’ve liked if the online mode had a few more bells and whistles (and made playin with friends a bit easier) but as it stands, best damn thing on the DS, and definitely better than the Cube mario kart.
As I understand it, you can do 8 man races in wireless mode, and I know online play is 4 man. Definitely cool.

Well, there’s two wifi modes for Kart.
The first is standard multiplayer, which, to the best of my knowledge, involves everyone within a certain radius connecting automatically to play an 8 man kart. Like linking up a bunch of game boys or sexboxes, but without the wires. Since I just got the game, I haven’t been able to test out exactly how it works, but that’s the concept.
The other is online play, wherein your DS connects online through a wireless connection. This can be a wireless “hotspot” at a mcdonalds or something, through a wireless router, or by sticking a dongle into the USB port on your computer that will allow the DS to connect to your net connection. This lets you play online, but it’s only 4 players, and they don’t have all the tracks and items available for use. Still, it’s lagless in my experience, and it lets you play people from your region, worldwide, or from your friends.

Lions vs. Falcons??? It won’t matter who is QBing, they won’t beat the Falcons. Yeah I know, Atlanta lost to Green Bay. But ATL always lose when Vick strat to let the critics get to him and stay in the pocket all game. We saw that last year. He’s gained the respect being a scrambler, even Peyton Manning is trying to run when he can get away now. Vick should just play his game and do what he wins with. It’ll be a boost if the Lions win, but I’m done with them yet again this season.
Oh yeah E, you should get Maden 2006, it’s an excellent game.
what, how much does a DS cost? $129.99. How much does Mario Kart DS cost? $34.99. BUT – there’s supposedly a bundle that Nintendo is releasing that has both together for $149.99. …with a hot-rod Red colored system, to boot. I’m jealous…my DS is only silver.
